Quigley is downstairs recovering from making a HUGE error in judgement the other day.

He decided to get himself IN the 5 foot high dog enclosure but appparently, when Nala wanted to play, could not get himself back OUT. It appears he was playing the part of the soccer ball in a rousing game of mud fuutboll. (purposeful misspelling due to difference in football versions) He was soaked and matted with mud from the tip of his nose to the tip of his tail. And sadly, missing a bit of fur from the top of his head and one ear. Aside from the slight cranial abrasion and roughed up ear, he seems to be fine. He was also not impressed with the warm soapy bath he and the two soccer players got but he took it better than to be expected.

but seriously.. the visual of a cat being rolled around like a soccer ball is hilarious!!

Urmel was highly interested to dance around my hands when I was peeling potatoes, carrots and broccoli for my potatoe soup...have to say that countless times pushing him down that chair in front of me didn't help much to reduce his interest [8|]

LaT.....tell poor Quigley that yep, I'm laughing AT him!  I never miss an opportunity to laugh at a cat.....sort of reminds them that they aren't the gods they think they are!

KB is being a typical pain, walking all over me and the computer, Squeaks was playing with her favorite milk ring, the other two boys are sprawled out in various stages of napping.

Misty is busy playing with the new catnip mouse that she received for her birthday yesterday.  Lily loves that I still haven't put away the clothes on top of the dryer and she can sit up there on top of them.  Angel is snoozing on her seat cushion aka bed.

Yeah, but c'mon.....how often do you get to really LAUGH at a cat?????  A poor, muddy, bedraggled little cat......and then having to suffer the indignity of a bath?  Oh yeah, I'm not mssing this opportunity!

Besides, Quigley didn't hear me laugh...it only counts if they hear you!

a previous cat had to have a bath...I visited my parents, back in 1998, with my 2 cats and I could not find Oliver...the next day when I got ready to pack my stuff to go back to my place I could hear him from my neighbours shed...I rang at my neighbours and we discovered he was stuck between his tank in his shed and the side of the shed...he did not manage to get out there so the neighbour had to take off some wooden panels and let an old carpet down on which he could cling himself on to be pulled up...and as he was...ahem...sitting in his own faeces he needed that bath before I put him into my car [>:][8|]

But in that situation it appeared he was glad to have that bath as he was just glad to be found and getting clean again [:)]

He was sadly victim of a car at a later stage (I did not find his corpse but we had received the call when another car was victim of a car and she said that she thinks she had seen him hit by a car as well before Samson was hit...so if she is right then thats what took him away...he was a gorgeous boy [:)]

I heard an ungodly noise this afternoon and went out to check.  Angel was over in my neighbor's yard terrorizing one of his cats.  She had the poor thing behind a box, quivering in fear.  It's not enough to wait for them to come into her yard, now she has to go over there and pick on them.  I yelled at her and she came slinking home, trying to act all innocent.  The other cat looked relieved and ran off.

The roommate's cat, Skinny, almost wacked me tonight because I dared to pet her without permission.  Tiger is being a jerk tonight, as usual.  Time for me to get my own kitty again.
