soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/22/2010 6:47:40 PM)

KB is in the window talking to the three kittehs I feed outside.  They are so sweet, all dumped here.  The one I call Toby is actually a house cat....I pet him, and he tries to come in the house, but Boo would tear him up.  He's a pretty gray striped kitteh, his sister, Sissy, is a tortie with the typical half black/half orange face...she's still skittish, and another one I call mama kitty.  I'd love to find homes for them, if I could grab them, I'd take them to PetSmart for adoption.

The other 3 are passed out someplace, little bellies full of gooshy food.

BTW Mystic, how do the kittehs like their sofa?  [:D]  Do they allow you to sit on it too!

The sofa is scheduled for delivery tomorrow between 10 A.M. and 2 P.M.  I'm sure they will let me sit on it.  However, they'll probably want to sit on ME while I sit on it, knowing them.

I also have a lil fellow here where I think he is homeless....I have let him in some days ago but when I let him out again (after all I don't want him to sit on my front window and then someone knocking on my door, telling me to let his/her cat out) he walked straight off which gave the impression that he might have a home...then he miaowed one night 1-2 nights later where I ignored him...and this night I could not ignore him again...particular not after he came back again a few hours after his first miaowing...he is approx. 9 months old and black and white...named him "lucky" for now...my furry gang isn't impressed but interestingly my lil Urmel is making the biggest fuss with his hissing fits [:D] What a spoilt brat [:)]

KB is sitting here next to me, boring holes in my head with his eyes...he's been going back and forth between being whiney and clingy to prowling, getting up on tables, knocking things down and trying the doorknob on the front door.  Not sure what he wants, food isn't working, treats either.....and I've been giving him Fancy Feast cuz he doesn't seem to want the Friskies anymore....I don't know what else to feed these guys......at least Smooch, Boo and Squeaks eat the dry food.  KB will if he thinks I'm not looking.  CATS!

pepper is also a fussy eater but I discovered at my previous flat (only coincidentially due to mold problem in the kitchen - leading me to stop feeding them in the kitchen as their food lasted longer in other rooms...well, as long as they were only 2 cats, now with 5 it doesn't last anyway). However, I discovered that she is happier to eat when she has my company. so when I was feeding her in the kitchen and left, then she did not like it, however, when I fed her in the lounge and stayed there due to watching tv she was happy to eat....yep, CATS [:D]

Cat problem (with doggie as well)

When we (Bo) feeds Binx, we have to watch her eat the food or else Little Bit (the dog) comes in and gobbles it up.  By the same token, Little Bit (doggie) is avoiding her food and rather has the cat food.  We think that Little Bit was fed on table scraps since she does look at us with soulful eyes. We rescued Little Bit from a neighbor who did not take care of her. (Read skinny from malnutrition and shyness.  She hates females except me and I am seldom around and she does love me) .

How can we train Little Bit from stealing Binxs food?  Little Bit has her own food and she turns her nose at it (I wonder how she is getting fat...)

Oh yea...Little Bit hair is just like Binx's...shredding all over the place...

If I would be able to take a dog on here (is no point, its already a pain to find a landlord when you have cats and I would not have the time now either to be fair to a dog) I would put a cat flap inside the house to a room where the dog has not normally access to and feed the cat there...so the cat can get in that room via a cat flap and eat the food, however the dog cant....that would be my solution (admittingly an odd solution, but it is one [:D])

curry is sitting on the window, looking outside of the window in disbelief, a la why the heck does it have to be so freaking cold...[:o]

Yep, he knows how to look innocent...he is much softer with his fur than his mum, but the owner of the studboy said that his mum appears to be more up for no good than the females she had with lighter fur (his mums white looks more like white after a car drove through water and messed it up...) as she had once a female like her with darker white and that one was also up for no good (my female did teach them twice that their enclosure is not outbreak proof, as she escaped in a sort of garage/storage area which is behnd that enclosre). So he seems to have the lighter fur from his dad (as his brother was a darker white) and maybe his roughish behaviour, too....I am really glad now that I gave his brother to my uni friends sister, who has a bullterrier, because I don't know if that bullterrier would have tolerated his temperament for long [8|] When they were small he regular pushed his brother away when it was about food....but of course, yep, he looks soooooooooooo innocent and gets away with murder...I admit [:o]

Phoenixpower -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/23/2010 4:07:29 PM)

By the way, he claimed this beanbag as his (but doesn't mind sharing it with curry sometimes). however, if I dare to lie a cat bed on top of it or a box or anything else, he always crawls underneath whatever is lieing on top of that beanbag, to demonstrate that he only wants to lie directly onto the beanbag [8|] leading me to get up and putting away whatever I had put onto the beanbag temporarily...as the saying goes...dogs have owners, cats have servants [>:]

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/23/2010 4:18:22 PM)

Lily thinks the new sofa is pretty cool and is nestled atop one of the back cushions.  Angel is lying on the floor by the door, trying to decide if she wants to go out or not.  Misty is sitting on the bed.

Phoenixpower -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/23/2010 4:24:27 PM)

Urmel is now just sitting next to me on the other end of the sofa...thinking what he could do next [8|] His mum is lieing up the shelf on a cat bed as she knows she has her peace there from his fighting attacks [:)]

DamnPickyDomme -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/23/2010 10:32:04 PM)

boy kitty is meowing for no apparent reason, he's got that kind of siamese meow, very loud and vocal. girl kitty is curled up sleeping on the top of the fridge. she likes it because it's a warm spot and boy kitty can't get his fat butt up there.

Phoenixpower -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/23/2010 10:46:27 PM)

Urmel just tested my patience with chucking down all sorts of stuff whilst I was busy online....now at last he sleeps again, curled up right next to pepper...thank goodness...

Going nuts over a bootlace i gave her.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/24/2010 10:26:53 AM)

Mine are snoozing off the effects of the 'nip I put down for them......altho they were all acting pretty goofy already....I opened the windows again to let in some air.  It's 44 degrees outside, so it's not too bad.

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/24/2010 10:31:16 AM)

YAY!  Iams Proactive Health Digestive Care catfood is again available in the local stores.  It seems to be the only one all three like and do well on.  I had been to every store in town when I ran out a couple weeks ago.  In the meantime, I got some Science Diet Sensitive Stomach, which the pet store said was the closest formula, but poor little Misty has been yarking frequently on that.  She rarely does with the Iams.

I'll be doing some baking later today and will keep a much closer eye on the pies while they are cooling than I did last year, when Lily licked the pineapple upside down cake and I ended up having to throw it out.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (12/24/2010 10:58:35 AM)

ahhhh, yes, Mystic.....kittehs like goodies too!  I have to be careful when making cookies, because Squeaks has a sweet tooth....I caught her sneaking raw cookie dough out of the bowl once!  They say cats can't taste sweet things, but I don't think Squeaks knows that....she loves sweets!  Last time I made oatmeal cookies, she was trying to swipe one out of the container....and they were as big as her head!  I give her some when she asks for it, I prolly shouldn't, but when she hits me with those big blue eyes...well, I'm a goner!
