Aw.......good for you!

I truly wish I could adopt another one. The female who is head of the house, Abba, I found in a suitcase on top of a trash can. Two years later and she is my darling girl, lol, and my current dominant as well. Four months ago somebody dumped a 3 year old male and a 4 month old male long hair here. Got them all vetted and fixed like the first but was keeping them in the garage and yard.

Abba is the one who started bringing them in through her kitty door (big totally solid 8 ft fence topped by 1 1/2 ft of lattice, cat heaven) so now they are permanent residents. Though she has her rules about what they are allowed on and to play with. They obey her totally.

But another female, no way, plus 3 is a houseful, even in this house. Then well kitty visits, Fancy Feast, treats, etc, I have my hands full. I wish I could. I will find her a home eventually.

Little bastard was attacking my feet, then stretched and slid backwards off the bed, before twisting around and walking away like nothing happened.

Lump has decided that her spot is perched on my shoulder, despite being too big to sit there without using her claws for balance.  ow. ow.

Hen, mine are all leash trained, but trying to walk 4 cats at once is a joke.......they can go about 12 different directions at once!  It's hopeless trying to get them to all go in one direction.

I can't do the stroller thing because I have the same problem Mystic does....the two middle boys, Boo and Smooch, want to fight with Squeaks, my newest furbaby.....I say new, but it's been over two years since I took her in.  KB likes her alot, he'd love to play with her, but the other two have her spooked when it comes to contact while playing, she fights back.  However, she has surprised the 2 boys by going after them a bit......or she'll wait til she's up high and they walk under her, and she reaches out and grabs them!  Now, that's funny....and the boys have the nerve to look at me and demand I yell at her!  I'm usually too busy laughing because since she's being sneaky, they usually jump a foot and hiss, but aren't sure what grabbed them.  She just looks all smug.....

I feed three strays here, I'm going to try to trap them to get them fixed....Toby won't be a problem, he already wants to come in, but my guys wouldn't appreciate that.  His sister, a little tortie, and another little girl are still skittish.  I'd like to find a home for Toby and Sissy, but little Mama is too feral to take inside.  She'd be the one to tear me up trying to get her in the carrier, so I'm going to go to a vet and get something I can feed them to knock them out a bit to get them inside the carrier.  I'd do it the night before so it doesn't mess up the surgery.  At least I won't have to worry about kittens in the spring.  Breaks my heart to see them all alone.  My neighbor feeds about 8 of them herself.  She has a couple of little kittens there now.

I hate people who just leave their pets behind.  Hope there is a special place in hell for them.

SpiritedRadiance -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/24/2011 9:21:39 PM)

Currently they are in separate rooms. Pebbles my Torti is in the bedroom sulking because there is a Monty in the house.

Monty is curled up on the couch  staring at the door waiting for me to come home.

I do, too.  Last summer, someone left behind a cute little black and gray male kitten.  When I first starting seeing him around, he looked cared for and was getting new flea collars periodically.  Then I noticed the flea collar was getting tattered and eventually fell off, and he was getting thinner.  It looks like whomever owned him just abandoned him.  I was feeding the little guy for a while, but he went and lived with the guy two houses away.  It breaks my heart when people just take off and leave a poor animal to fend for itself.

Lol, around here walks with mama on a leash is totally the sole province of her majesty.

I am sure such a hell exists. It is always cold, always wet, the inhabitants are always hungry, they each have worms, fleas, mange, and are perpetually chased by a pack of ravening howling hell hounds.

Well this morning Her Highness is grumpy, she does NOT like the taste of her new toothpaste. Much spitting and drinking. My fault, I bought the beef flavor instead of the chicken, back to the store with me. If she cannot brush her teeth when I do I'm gonna be in trouble.

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/25/2011 6:20:14 PM)

Angel just got through knocking a folder of bills off the dining room table and is energetically dashing around the house.  Lily found a new hiding place on the shelves of a cabinet in my office.  Misty is taking a snooze.

Singing a beautiful song in this dead language. Special dedication to all of the other cats that may come to try to flirt with her...

Abba and her loyal boys are all sitting on the 3 season porch watching the woodpeckers eat at their feeder blocks.

petmonkey -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/26/2011 2:30:39 PM)

She's contemplating jumping onto the kitchen counter . . .now she's noticed me watching her . . .now she's scooted to a different part of the kitchen and pretending to be invisible . . .now she's up on the counter . . .now she's up on the fan hood . . .now she's stretching up to sniff the cabinet above the fan hood and not noticing that i've walked up behind her. . . now she's dangling! from the kitchen cabinet door!  Which is swinging open! And her hind legs can't find the lower ledge, so she's scrambling! And clinging! And crying out for me to save her! . . . now she's got her head in my armpit with her body safely curled in my arms . . .

Phoenixpower -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/26/2011 3:12:46 PM)

Mine are odd today....they come to me every few minutes to demand their TLC....not always the same, always another one....normally they don't give me as much attention as today and yep, today that rather annoys me [>:]

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/26/2011 6:06:41 PM)

I accidentally left the coat closet in the hall open a few inches and Lily went in and decided she rather likes hanging out in there.  I have left it open for her since she enjoys it so much.  I just have to remember not to shut the door and leave her stranded in there.  I'm sure she'd let me know, though.

0ldhen -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/26/2011 8:13:59 PM)

Well mine are all sprawled around the fireplace after running in the snow. Yay for their bedtime. They were all busy little bodies today.

Pitterpat, swirl, swirl, swirl, meow meow, all day long. Maybe the weather is affecting them

girlygurl -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/26/2011 8:23:41 PM)

Sassy has a full belly of her "num num's" (wet cat food) and is sleeping in the middle of my bed.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/26/2011 9:00:42 PM)

My herd are hanging out in their places....bellies full, "tweets" given....Smooch is crawling around under the couch, I have no idea why......Squeaks is in her basket.....but something under there caught his attention.

Mystic, take from one who knows...kittehs that get shut in closets, now matter how accidental, will wait for YEARS for the perfect payback.  You won't see it coming, but it will come!  I leave all my closet doors cracked open.....KB will yank on them until I finally give in and open them.....in fact, the one in the living room, and both bedrooms are currently open, yet KB is sitting right here next to me creating trouble here at the computer.  Cupboards are no trouble at all for KB...he's got some seriously powerful front legs, ans short of putting padlocks on them, he can open them at will.   When it was just he and my dog, he'd get up high and push the goodies down on the floor, and Shiloh would rip the bags open, and they'd feast.  Shiloh's favorite was the bag of Oreos.....but he was also at the mercy of whatever KB felt like eating.  Now, Squeaks is the one who rips into bags......the "tweets" and the dry food.  KIDS!

girlygurl -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/26/2011 9:02:18 PM)

I calls them "tweets" too soul [:)]

GrinnerMcWolfe -> RE: What is your cat doing? (1/26/2011 11:26:34 PM)

My newest, Rajah, is busy attacking my blankets. Which is highly amusing, but somewhat concerning as well, considering he's attacking the blankets on my air mattress.

...and now he spazzed out and launched himself from the bed and out my door. I'm going to go make sure he hasn't punched any holes in my bed.
