MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (2/10/2011 5:40:03 PM)

Angel tentatively ventured out this morning,  I checked on her when I went to refill my coffee and she about knocked me over rushing back in the house.  Guess she froze her little tush out there.

I was taking minutes during a teleconference this afternoon and Lily jumped up on the table and was bound and determined to sit on my notebook.  She just could not understand why the board meeting was more important than her being petted.

For shame, Mystic......I would have thought by now youd've caught on that NOTHING is more important than getting petted!  And you should be grateful the each and every opportunity you are afforded to do so.....if your kittehs haven't taught you that, then they are slipping too.....

Binx is laying down on the 'dining room'.  Right where the heater is blowing.  I am glad she gave up my bed...

Abba is snoozing happily on a chair, I love that belly.

Binx and I took a nap together when the phone rang.  We have given the phone evil eyes for waking us up.

10 minutes later, teenagers arrive..there goes my luck getting back to nap land.

....there was a lady on animal hoarding-  she has 84 cats and cant part with ANY of them.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (2/11/2011 9:39:48 PM)

My boys are in a kitteh pile on the loveseat sleeping, Squeaks was prowling, but she's now in her little hidey hole in the closet in her box.  They will all remain so until I go to bed...then KB will come in and try to convince me he's STAAAARVING, and I'm such a sap that I'll get up and put food down.  He has me so well trained!  No, really...he does...getting up and putting food down is much easier than the ensuing battle of the wills between me and him.  I try to ignore him, he walks across the pillow, across the bed, he will headbutt me, or just put his little face against mine.  Persistance....thy name is cat.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (2/12/2011 1:18:18 AM)

This is what happens when I give up my spot on the futon......I was tricked, I tell ya!  I got up to check out a "thump" in the kitchen, it was Squeaks prowling, and when I got back, this is what I found!  I don't have the heart to make them move......I did say I was a sap!

Urmel is currently having a time out in the bathroom, as he kept chewing my toes and also has the damn habbit to dive between my legs to then attack my arms or fingers when she gets through to them (between laptop and tummy)....and after he did not get it after many other attempts to make him beg off I had to be so drastic today....anyhow, I let him out now, once my feet are in shoes...[>:]

Not good news for Lily today, I'm afraid.  I took her in to to have her checked out because of her sudden weight loss, and it turns out she had intestinal cancer.   The vet found a huge tumor, which I felt myself.  I decided to have her put down today because there's really no treatment and it's more humane than having her suffer.

I am soooooo sorry to hear that [:(] I am sure she is glad not to have to suffer with it and that she will have had a great greeting at the rainbow bridge. Personally I also think it is easier to let her go at a check up than when you keep dragging it out, knowing one day that only for that reason you are going to the vet, whereas today you could at least still have hope that it could be something else. I am so sorry....(((((hugs)))))

Mystic, I am so sorry. Let me know if you need anything at all, even a friendly ear.

I hope it gives you some comfort that you are doing the right thing.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (2/12/2011 2:07:10 PM)

Oh, Mystic, I am so sorry for your loss.  {{{{{HUGS}}}}}  I know how hard the decision was to make, and applaud you for making the right one.  Jusdging by her adventures here, she led a very long and spoiled life with you.  Don't be surprised if Angel looks for her too.

You will be with her again some day, at the bridge.  {{{{{HUGS}}}}} to you and Angel at this sad time.

0ldhen -> RE: What is your cat doing? (2/12/2011 2:12:08 PM)

Mystic, Awwww hell, I hated to hear that hon.

If i can do anything just drop a line. My sorrow and sympathy for your loss.

Mine is trained to poo pee outside.  I just rang the bell for him to come in.

Didn't he prance and stall.   He does that at times.  But other times he is as fast as a cougar.

forgot to put that part above from what pahunk typed.....

That is so cute..I wouldn't think that of you from what I have read in the message boards!

MysticFireTopaz -> RE: What is your cat doing? (2/12/2011 6:24:13 PM)

Trapped, s2s, and Hen:  Thank you so much for your kind thoughts and consoling words.  They mean the world to me right now.

Yes, Angel is looking for her now.  Lily spent a lot of time in my office, so Angel was searching in here.  Lily also like to sit on top of the refrigerator and look down, and I saw Angel jump up there to look for her (which she has never done before),

Angel looked concerned when I left with Lily in the carrier and came home empty-handed and sobbing.  She knew right away something was amiss.

soul2share -> RE: What is your cat doing? (2/12/2011 7:55:34 PM)

KB looked for Shiloh, his dog, for 2 weeks before he gave up.  It broke my heart to see him checking all the places he knew that Shiloh hung out in.  He even braved the roomie's goofy German Sheperd to check downstairs in the basement TV room.  He wouldn't let any of the other kittehs lseep on Shiloh's bed, and when we put their dry cat food into Shiloh's feeder, he wouldn't let anyone eat the food.

Lily will be missed by Angel....and of course she knows her mama isn't doing well.....she's probably going to cling for a bit to help you through the rough spots.  KB only got back his old spark after I got the two boys....then he adopted them and became their "mama".  When the time is right, there will be another little furbaby that will walk into your life, not a replacement for Lily, but rather, love to fill the empty space left behind by your loss.

Phoenixpower -> RE: What is your cat doing? (2/12/2011 8:06:04 PM)

Cleopatra spend one day sleeping in my parents bathroom (she enjoyed lieing there in the sink) and then a day in neighours house in their bathroom (she decided that she needs to have 2 homes) where she passed away two days after Caesar had died. Her so sudden death can only be explained with having died on broken heart to us, as she had no sign at all to be unwell and then so suddenly after Caesar had gone...was hard to be told from my parents (at that time I was living and working in another part of Germany and left them with them until I would have settled there).
