Only issue i'd have with any of it is if a mod tells me i've violated the tos in any way they had better tell me what part of it I violated, not just say I violated it. Kinda moot anyway given that theres much about the tos on this site thats not enforcable anyway. I'm not bitching about it, just saying people might want to actually read it sometime. Parts of it are bizzare and not exactly legal, not that I particularly care.

LOL, Wyld...

I was born with mine.  I guess it was a warning since the moment I sprung forth into the world.

Section 3.4 of the TOS, in part:

"USE COMMON SENSE!"

That seems to go by the wayside for a lot of people.

Oh I agree Daddysredhead. Common sense is in short supply with alot of people and should be the basis for any action on here, or any other site for that matter. I was referring to some of the other more questionable sections.

This thing has gotten so long I had to jumpthrough. I read about half of it.

Mod 11 is very diligent in the day to day moderating. You will normally find her to be the first responder, but to what ? Well soon I will let you know. My comments come first though.

The democrats think she is a republican, and vice versa. Those involved here split along those lines do not see her as fair, but I have not found that to be the case.

Now because of the way I am, when I step over the line I am threatened with banishment, not moderated or something of a lesser degree. But that is how I am, many people consider me radical. In a recent post I went into a bit too much detail about a deal I made and instead of axing the whole post she edited out the offending parts.

I have had many posts removed, no doubt by her, without any mail warning, in other words they don't necessarily violate TOS, but they don't want them here. As such I have drawn a couple of conclusions about CM, and I think it is sort of the spirit of the site that impels them to moderate how they do. It may seem unfair, but I have always been one to try to see the other side.

The way I see it is this. Here is the deal here, anyone on the internet can view everything we type in this forum. They don't charge anything to be a member here. Therefore there is no direct revenue, but the site still exists for some reason. I think part of it is that the owners of the site want to see us kinksters more well accepted in society. In view of the goal, this site is a showcase to illustrate that we are normal people, with normal lives and morality. We don't go around killing babies or raping our Grandmothers. We have opinions just as anyone else and if we express ourselves correctly, the masses can read that and possibly some of the stigma of kink can be lifted. Just like homosexuals "coming out of the closet" so to speak.

I mean you can type in collarme.com at a library PC and get here, and read every word of every post,,,, ever, including this one. When you are in the actual collchat page, have a look at the bottom. It will say something like "there are 759 users here and 5,192 guests". Something like that. You know what that means, others are watching. Reading, hopefully learning that we are not all out fucking goats or any shit like that. People really do think that and also associate us with pedophiles and such, which we are not. Any hint of that will get you thrown out of here faster than an SR22 at full throttle, and I agree. The stigma against us is as strong as it was against the homosexuals until the time was right and they could "come out" so to speak.

Ever wonder how much it wouold cost you to maintain a site like this ? First you got to get hosting or setup your own servers. You need IT pros that cost a hundred grand a year. Then there is the software. I don't remember right now what software this site uses, but I know this much, it doesn't come free with a fucking webcam. Yet they don't charge us a dime. WHY ?

Now as one of the priveledged few who are allowed to add to the content of this site, which in the fora amounts to entries in a blog, what do you say now. They have the right to remove anything they damn well please. And I have already stated that I have found no significant evidence of any bias on the part of the mods or admins. Yes I have been spanked by an admin. YAY me. But there was no warning, just a simple explanation of why my post was unacceptable. Now I f was paying the rent I might just raise hell about things like this sometimes, but I don't.

I don't want to say love it or leave it, but that is pretty much how it boils down. I enjoy the priveledge to get my opinion out and have people respond, even if to tear me up. And in full view of the world. We disagree just like the "vanillas". We also make some valid points. Overall I have found the average intelligence of CM members to above average, although unfortunately part of that estimation might be due to the fact that it is an international forum. Which brings us to the OP, anyone IN THE WORLD can read every word I type right now. Of course everyone doesn't, but if this site grows we could be talking voting blocs, maybe even candidates. Get the stigma off. Just because we might like to play with ropes and chains doesn't mean we are going to steal your kids, dog, goats, whatever. Show the world that we are normal people, we just have a fetish, that's all.

Over the couple of years I have been here, I have figured this out. As far as why some of the things I have posted are unacceptable, in some caes I have no idea, others it is explained. But I live in the US, have never left it and don't intend to, and this being international, I don't always know what is acceptable and what is not. And really, if they were to completely spell it out in the TOS agreement, there would be no posts because it would take months just to read, and would probably change midstream.

The thing here is to just realize why this site exists. Help each other, be cool. Demonstrate that we are not freaks. The owners of this site are doing there part, try to help, rather than hurt their efforts. Here's a good question for everybody, what if they decided to charge for access to this site ? Say a hundred bucks a year, something within reason for many. What would you do ?

Damn, that's a good enough question maybe I should start a thread about it, or maybe even a poll. When it comes to people who tell me to love it or leave it when it comes to my country, I want to get out the guns and shoot them all over, and then put them in a meat grinder and feed them to the dogs. I don't have any dogs but there are plenty in my 'hood over here. I will stay and stand and fight for my rights. But at CM you are a guest. OK you may be classified as one who is priveledged to post, but it is as if you are in someone else's home. You conform to their rules. There is no question.

There are subjects they simply don't want me to bring up here. So be it, I won't. It is their house, their castle, their domain (not in the internet vernacular). Just like someone's house, for example if they don't allow smoking I either don't smoke or I can leave, or possibly step outside. If you can't see that this site is extending hospitality to our ilk, take another look at your CC bill. You will not find a charge for CM.

But they do give refunds if you piss them off enough.

I've been reading here for a while, and want to say that MOD11 seems to do a great thankless job, and appreciate her dilgent monitoring. Without it, this place would be an unusable mad house.

Nicely said, Term, and much the way I feel about it. If someone throws a party in their home and invites you to come, complaining about the snacks or choice of beverages is rather bad form. JMHO

Right Wyld. I don't agree either, I don't think some of my posts should've been removed. I don't think they did exactly right in some cases. But it does not matter, and that is something I have had to explain in my own house. NO, you will not play Leonard Skinard here, and I have reasons which I will be happy to explain. They have to do with the words to the song Saturday Night Special. But I don't have to explain that , there is simply no skynard here, that is my choice until somebody else pays the bills.

Is CM fair ? Probably not but I don't care. Is there some bias ? there might be, if there is I am not seeing it so it must be on my side. Of course this would be hard to believe with the number of my posts that have been removed and the fact that they seem not to sanction me in any minor way. What it comes down to is don't do it again or we are going to throw you clean out of here.

I think they like keeping me around. I rarely fuck up these days and I generally do not fall into partisan arguments, and I don't resort to name calling and getting insult..........can't suffixize that right. I try not to insult people, especially those with whom I disagree. In other words I know how to argue. Pissing the opponent off in an argument is counterproductive. People start talking shit, calling names and all that, they get put on moderation. My infractions are more subject matter based, and I think that is why I get the treatment I get. I mean they threaten to BAN ME, and not temporarily. I guess when I cross the line I do it with a big truck.

Well I have learned to drive more carefully.

People can whine and bitch, but if they would just look at their credit card statement and not find a charge for CM that might help them understand. I think the people who run this place have a plan, an ambition. Like Gay activists years ago. Get us out of the closet.

Speaking of which, having recently moved I have some interesting stories that involve a closet. Tomorrow, it is late.

thinking pound cake can be worked in here somewhere...

I know this might be considered suicidal ... but WTF does "pound cake" mean?

(in the spirit of remaining on topic ... I'm sure XI must know)(a bit LESS suicidal of a comment ... and even LESS because it is bracketed)(I made that last bit up by the way ... but it was honestly NOT an attempt to take the piss out of XI ... watersports does not belong in "off topic" anyway).
