that's right. serious scientific papers suggest. and i also saw it on tv. so what? that's your argument? LOL

I didn't have an argument. I was just having a giggle (admittedly at your expense, which wasn't terribly mature of me) because if I was in that situation I would have found the paper the first time I was challenged, rather than saying 'see discovery channel'; you made me laugh...

JoeStalin -> RE: Is the Female Domination Lifestyle a Failure? (3/10/2010 2:50:58 AM)

you're the one "in the situation". when i first said i saw it on tv you were clueless and thought it was a joke. but now when i also presented you with a serious research you're backpedaling.

can't argue with science can you? exchanging goods for sex, on the street aka whoring, has been around for quite some time.

Nah-what I said was:

quote:

I love people whose highest form of scientific citation is the discovery channel.
Oh, wait. No I don't. I really really don't.

Sorry 'bout the confusion there.

I'd seen an article about the paper a while ago, I was vaguely aware of its existence. I still haven't read the paper, so I can't make any statement about the validity of the research, but nowhere in that quote did I say anything about whether or not chimps exchange sex for food.

I was laughing at you, not the scientists.

JoeStalin -> RE: Is the Female Domination Lifestyle a Failure? (3/10/2010 3:09:19 AM)

so what are you saying? what was said on discovery chan was incorrect? if it was correct why is it wrong to use it? they gave correct info and i used it. you have problem with using correct info?

I'm saying that 'see discovery channel' isn't good enough evidence. Your facts might be right-I don't know because I haven't read the paper. The discovery channel program may be an accurate representation of the contents of the paper-I don't know because I haven't seen the program or read the paper, so I can't compare the two.

But saying 'it's true because it was on the discovery channel and if you don't believe me see the discovery channel!' is both insufficient and funny.

What I have a problem with is using info without backing it up. You did eventually back it up with evidence, but your initial reaction was what made me laugh.

JoeStalin -> RE: Is the Female Domination Lifestyle a Failure? (3/10/2010 3:20:17 AM)

when did i say it's true because it's on disc chan? i knew it even before that from other sources. but using disc chan helps in smoking out clueless. you know, the ones whose argument is source of info and not the info itself. hahahaha

JoeStalin -> RE: Is the Female Domination Lifestyle a Failure? (3/10/2010 3:27:21 AM)

the other one was smarter, bailed out when googled that info is legit. supposedly had homework to do or something. lol

you said:

scientific fact even chimps exchange fruits for sex, making whoring million year old profession. can't argue with science. check discovery channel.

quote:

You mean, the ones who want to know that scientic procedure has been followed? Who want to know that findings have been peer-reviewed? Who like to know that the conclusions haven't been jazzed up to make good tv? You and I differ in our definitions of the word 'clueless'.

Info is only useful if it's backed up with evidence.

JoeStalin -> RE: Is the Female Domination Lifestyle a Failure? (3/10/2010 3:31:06 AM)

but that doesn't mean it's true because it's on disc chan. it only means disc chan reported it correctly. are you questioning research from 6 universities? wow aren't you the smart one

JoeStalin -> RE: Is the Female Domination Lifestyle a Failure? (3/10/2010 3:40:48 AM)

wow it takes you quite some time to weasel out this one. or you're waiting for me to go to bed?

Right. I am going to say this in small sentences for you.

1. I am not questioning the truth of the research.
2. The discovery channel is not good enough as a citation. They sometimes twist research. They sometimes misrepresent research. They sometimes simplify research.
3. You used the discovery channel as a citation.
4. This made me laugh at you.
5. Me laughing at you had nothing to do with the truth of the research.

GotSteel -> RE: Is the Female Domination Lifestyle a Failure? (3/10/2010 5:16:18 AM)

Joe, I got a laugh out of your first post on this thread and your agent smith avatar. Everything since then has been a disappointment.

I missed this post before.
But I'm not trying to 'weasel out' of anything.
This is a message board, fella; not that important...

MsStarlett -> RE: Is the Female Domination Lifestyle a Failure? (3/10/2010 6:59:49 AM)

WTF?  Is this thread actually worth my reading 16 pages of it to see if anyone set the OP straight?

Pardon me if I repeat myself and/or others.

Tribute has nothing at all to do with Female Domination as a Lifestyle "Failing".  I come from a long line of Domineering women who all ran their households on both sides of my family.  While Domineering is not the same as Dominate, it does train a girl up to know that 'wearing the pants' is not strictly a male role.  We simply called it "Being a STRONG woman."  Let me assure you that both BDSM Female Domination, Domineering and Strong Woman lead lifestyles are all alive, well and very successful.

As for the 'tribute' thing, lets face it folks.  That's all about the sex.  There are Thousands of men willing to pay for sex to every single woman who feels the need to pay for it.

The main reason most Male Doms do not ask for tribute is because they (many, not all) consider the free sex, any time, any place, any way they want it, from their female subs to be "Tribute" enough.  Many men who sign up as "Dominants" aren't actually Doms at all, they just think its an easy way to get free pussy.

The reson most Female Dommes require 'Tribute' is to weed out all the "Do Me" subs who want nothing more than to be 'forced' to have sex 24/7/365 without having to bother with any type of relationship.  Those guys don't want to be subs, they just want a free kinky whore to sex them up or provide the form of sexual stimulation they prefer.  If all they want is the equivolent of a prostitute in a leather corset and stilettos, they jolly well better spread that wallet wider than their asses.

great point!

JoeStalin -> RE: Is the Female Domination Lifestyle a Failure? (3/10/2010 9:31:47 AM)

so your only argument is that discovery chan reported and you don't care at all if it is true or not? lame

another valuable contribution to the discussion. at same level as the nonargument that discovery chan reported something so it's invalid regardles of if it is truth or not.

Lucienne -> RE: Is the Female Domination Lifestyle a Failure? (3/10/2010 9:38:36 AM)

What's the discussion you're trying to have here, Joe? Pro-dommes are whores? All women who receive something of value prior to sex are whores? What is it exactly?

thgat's all very nice, doesn't change the fact a bit that sexual service (little but unconventional, true) is provided in exchange for money. let's be real here.

Yeah Joe I'm not arguing with you. I'm a Dom in a monogamous relationship, I really couldn't care less what a prodomme does. I was just explaining to you that people are more receptive to your points when you don't act like a 12 year old.
