For me it's "One who switches when the mind tells him/her to do so"I'm not a submissive but sometimes I enjoy the role of bottom.I hate to be told what to do.I like doing things my way but I get off on being humiliated from time to time in the bedroom.Other times I just want to take a woman over my knee and punish and humiliate her.

Which of the two best describe a switch

One who is submissive to one, but who is able and desires to dominate another
or
One who switches when the mind tells him/her to do so

For me, It's when mind decides.
Sometimes though, I disregard the mental cornholing and let the power exchange dictate the course of the event at the moment.
Like the old acid heads would say "set and setting influnces the trip". So who I am with ( different mind sets) and where we are ( the setting ) makes the moment.

I find it interesting you say this. Outside of the bedroom I am a very dominant person. I hate to admit but I've been called a control freak on more than one occasion. Up until the last couple years I considered myself Dominant in the bedroom as well. As soon as I had control in a relationship and dominated a male I lost complete respect for him in all aspects and walked all over him. I used them as toys, manipulated and tore them down as men. Then I met my Master. Friends at first then so much more very soon. We explored my behavior to learn that I need to be submissive in the bedroom. the only thing that turns me on is being on my knees before a Master, bound and controlled. The thought of Him makes my panties WET! the feeling of not being able to move, talk back, or bitch makes me literally moan out loud.
So does this make me a switch?
