have a friend take a picture of you when you're not aware that it's going to happen, have them crop it so that you're head is missing, but save tell them to save the original picture.  You will be pleasantly surprised.


For me, it's the opposite, when I look at myself in the mirror, I don't see someone who is fat.  I didn't see me as I AM until someone showed me a picture of me at a family gathering and I asked who that fat person was, and was told that it's me.  I looked closer, and saw the outfit I wore, and knew nobody else wore the same thing.  It was a bit of a reality check.

In reality I'm heavy, but I get called "thick" more than fat. Up until I started working out I did carry a good majority of my weight in my chest. SInce I've been working out that's been the first place I lose it. I just see a fat girl with a fat face when I look in the mirror, but lately that's not so much what I see anymore. I've always thought of myself as cute... the cute fat girl with the smart ass personality.... now I see myself more as pretty.
