A rugged cowboy from Brokeback Mountain, Wyoming, goes into the
doctor's office and has some tests run.

The doctor comes back and says, "I am not going to beat around
the bush, You have AIDS."

The cowboy tugs at his Stetson and sets his jaw and says, "Doc,
what can I do?"

The doctor says, "I want you to go home and eat 5 pounds of spicy
sausage, a head of cabbage, 20 un-peeled carrots drenched in hot
sauce, 10 Jalapeno peppers, 40 walnuts and 40 peanuts, 1/2 box of
Grapenuts cereal, and top it off with a gallon of prune juice."

The cowboy squares his rugged shoulders and asks, "Will that cure
me, Doc?"

"No, but it should leave you with a better understanding of what
your ass is for."

Oh look!!! ! I finally found Me a little tart that likes spewing the venemous word "homophobe" out of his mouth like bullets without so much as having a clue what it means. I wondered how long that would take. Almost exactly a year. A homophobe is someone who has a genuine, crippling fear of homosexuals. I hate to tell you, but I am not exactly shaking in My boots, I find the joke funny, and I for one do now want to see that blatant misuse of the english language to due to a crybaby tantrum. That is one of My pet peaves that comes from manipulators in the scene.

Ditch the PC crap at the door and get a bit of a sense of humour. It was funny. Now, make a joke about Me so I can throw unwarranted labels at you.

I have to side with you on this... it is a humor section. Don't come in here if you are going to get your panties in a twist when a joke dances that edge. Jokes aren't politically correct and never will be. People really have to lighten up a bit and learn what humor is all about.

I'm going to side with the fabulous MstrTiger here...

One half of the joke is that anal sex, and by close association with that act - homosexuality, is wrong. I can't agree with either proposition, not even as a joke. The other half of the "joke" is to link the hopelessness of an AIDS diagnosis with explosive diarrhea as a supposedly fitting punishment for being gay - please note how the doctor's "treatment" is intended as a kind of comeuppance for the gay cowboy.

This is openly hostile and intolerant potty humor. Grow up, people.

I defend your right to tell the joke and even to think its funny. I also defend my own right to think less of y'all for doing just that.

Well if it had been funny maybe I would have laughed.

What I do find funny is the idiotic personal attacks that have commenced over one person standing up and speaking his mind. I say good for him and keep standing up buddy. If people don't like it they can go fuck themselves.

To those of you with your mindless childish banter attacking this fella, you may control your sub/slave but contrary to what you believe you don't control the rest of us. We can say what we want unless the Mods step in and say otherwise.

As far as having a sense of humor I have a great one, when the jokes funny.

Being one that was nailed for expressing myself in another thread.... I hope you enjoy your e-mail from Mods in the GO F yourself expression. I at least said screw and not F**k.

Bottom line.. humor section... you know there's gonna be jokes about all types in here. If you can't take a joke... you might need to skip this section.

It's funny people. Get over it.

You can be a serious person with BIG SERIOUS SENSITIVITIES without being a completely humorless drone.

Laugh at yourself, laugh at others.

I agree with everyone that humor is humor but not all humor is found funny by everyone. I'm not saying that the joke should be taken down or anything like that but I think everyone has a right to say.. huh I was offended.. no big deal. My reason for not finding this funny is because I have walked down the street with a gay friend and someone walking by said, " f-ing faggot, your discusting" ... it tore me apart to see my friend try to play cool when I could see he was shaken up. So now certain gay jokes just bug me... I don't know why im babbeling it's a tendancy I have when I'm writing on the boards :)

Till you learn to laugh at yourself... life is going to be a hard road traveled.. so grab the ben gay... and get ready to rub that ass.. because the lumps are gonna hurt.

Once you learn to laugh with.. and not feel like being laughed and picked on personally.. life will get easier.. and more enjoyable.

It's not about censorship - it's just disrespectful. My question to the OP is this: do you think it's right to foster a disrespectful attitude toward gay people or those with AIDS?

This kind of humor is not strictly just humor - there is truth and tragedy in it. Unless people think its also funny that gay people are sometimes beaten, tied to a fence, and left to die of exposure - then it's not funny.

It's a funny joke on the surface, but the implications are disturbing. It shows that there is still a strong prejuidice against homosexuals in this country and still a lingering misconception that most gays have aids (and that for some reason they "deserve" it for being gay.) That part saddens me.
