I admit the Grinch had infiltrated my mood, but then I read all the stuff Red posted and I couldnt help but smile.

I admit I think I should have gone and talked to Santa this year. I could use something to believe in, and he is the safest bet.

I admit the neighbors kids wanted snow for Christmas, but we may not get it, so their dad rounded up snow cone machines and spent last night and today making a bunch of coolers full of snowballs for them and their brood of cousins that came in today.

I admit I enjoyed watching them run and play while the neighbor and I drank spiked egg nog. Gooood times.

I admit that I am about to have a nip or two of something spiked.

I admit that we are also expecting snow for tomorrow. Not craploads of it, but still.. pretty cool.

I admit that I have lived here and about, and have only had actual Xmas snow like once in all my almost 44 years.

EDITED to add: I just got perved on the other side by a *ahem* 22-yr-old "Dominant" from Poland. .. .. *snork* .. .. *snicker* *koff* ... *BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA..*

Thank you Red, One good thing come out of this, is she doesn't seem inclined to struggle to get away when I try to hold her. Well not to much, she growls half heartedly an tries to move away a tiny bit, but if I am just against her and not holding her in my arms, she'll let me pet her tummy an sooth her with no fuss for about 10 minutes before pulling away. so I hold her and pat her and sing to her and lay beside her on the bed.

I admit this year, I took the short route out, and put all the presents to each person in gift bags , and put pretty tissue paper in the baginstead of individually wrapping, each one. One reason I did this, to start with, was cause my dad's rain boots were to akward a size and shape to wrap, so a gift bag was the best solution, an then I was like hey! put them all in gift bags!

The gift bags are so cute.

Happy birthday to thing 2 and Merry Christmas to you.

I admit that I let the Things open one present each so they would chill out.

I admit that the kitty is asleep, under the coffee table, in his box, while Thing 2 puts together some Lego car thingy.

I admit that I am about to kill my baby daddy if he doesn't stop being an asshat who is too lazy to tidy up my kitchen so I can do my birthday cake baking.

I admit that I may turn him into a semi-human sacrifice tonight if he doesn't shape up.

I admit that I bet I could turn Lance's visit into a Posse/"Four Winds" adventure if planned properly. (The Four Winds are: DC, Trapped, Linea, and me... we are also the Potomac Posse, but we are an uber-exclusive lot) *giggles*

I admit that I am wishing for something special and spiked right now.

I admit that I have to get the bike (that Santa let me win in the raffle) into the house without Thing knowledge.

I admit that sometimes these details are a bit much when da mama is tired.

I admit that one year, Grandpa hid Grandma's present behind the tree.
I admit this was easy since the party was in a 50's "recreation" room, kinda separated from the rest of the house. <Can you say "knotty pine"?>
I admit the gift was an automatic washing machine - one of the first.
I admit that I can, to this day - more than 40 years later - remember her exact look.
I admit that Grandpa always gave her jewlery after that. LOL!

I admit I LOL'ed at Lance's grandfather having to give jewelry to his grandma after the washing machine gift.

I admit that there are 4 original Posse members who get together regularly and sometimes MistressHolly/Dragon joins us once or twice a year. Other than that, no one else.

I admit that we certainly invite others to share in our fun.

I admit that Lance and SJ can surely be part of our hijinx. :)

I admit that my Dad is now here with us, so my little world is complete tonight.

I admit that I cleaned my kitchen to my specifications, and my ex-husband is safely nestled in Thing 1's room, out of my sight. (after 20 years, he knows when to steer clear of me)

I admit that Himself once bought me an ironing board, but I forgave Him because it had purple kittycats all over it.

I admit that I can be bribed with body jewelry, such as that which goes in various kinds of piercings.

I admit that I bet this is not the sort of jewelry that Lance is talking about, having been used as a bribe by His grandfather..
