I admit that I'm glad to see that Hausboy is home, and I know that LP will be glad to see it, too.

I admit that if Hausboy were here, I would make him a plate of farfelle with alfredo sauce, steak, green beans, a glass of sweet tea, and a cupcake with chocolate frosting for dessert.

I admit that I want my Thing 1 home now. I need to feed him and make sure he's all warm.

I admit I'm tragic :)

And yes, I admit I'd love a memo from a hot, unattached slave within striking distance, but since that's not going to happen I'm going to hope for nice weather tomorrow, as I have to drive to my doctor (many miles away) for my yearly pain meds assessment - crushed my back and neck in a bike crash many years ago, so have to return once a year to see if my dosage needs upping, which it will do this year.

Such is life. If I want to keep riding (which I do), then I need the meds :)

I admit that the schools down here are closed again because the back roads are hideously bad.

I admit that Thing 1 is thawing out in the shower, and his dinner is plated and ready to go when he stumbles out.

I admit that I got the hairy eyeball from Thing 2 when I told her that she has been out enough today and can't go back outside, sledding in the virtual darkness.

I admit that I told her I was trying to be a responsible parent.

I admit it my beloved ex-husband called today to tell me that our favorite uncle has died. RIP, Uncle Yoyo. *kisses & hugs on your way*

I admit it he also told me that his cousin had died.

I admit it there have been 6 deaths in his family in the last 6 months, not counting the dog & the cat.

I admit it I hope that we can take a little breather now.

I admit it the last family reunion was in 2001 & all of these people were alive & well that year. Now they are all gone.

I admit it I haz a sad at an era passing. *moment of silence*

I admit I saw that story this morning and felt very sad indeed.

I also admit I had the thought that, as Uganda relies on foreign aid for almost half its budget, there was a degree of leverage that could be applied to "encourage" its leaders to start treating human beings as human beings, and making their security less of a joke and more of a priority.

Then I admit I realised there are several major issues with that, so I dropped the idea.

It's still so very wrong though.
