When we last left our hero, he had visited Lushy and had a great time with her on New Year's Eve. I continued driving to my temporary job in upstate Maryland - where PA and WV are only 12 miles apart. My douchebag boss had restricted my e-mails AND (these last two weeks) made me surrender my cell phone - "You're getting too distracted."

Sweet Mother of God! Well, I was supposed to return to Denver via Madison Wisc. to help my Mother celebrate her 90th on Feb. 12. Guess what? "I'll pay your airfare if you'll stay longer. " Okay - rearrange meds and Dr. appts in Denver and take flight to visit with Mom. What a GREAT party. She was a little more "with it" than when I last spoke with her on Christmas. And she got to meet her 1st great-grand born less than 3 weeks earlier.

My Mom passed away within the month. She wanted to be cremated - done. She wanted the ashes buried next to her beloved mother, father and brother in Chicago. The service is this coming Sat.

Meds can't be changed any more and I'm 'done' with douchebag, so that's why I gave myself the BEST birthday present EVER and left on the 17th. I'm writing late from Columbus, having hid my laptop for 11 weeks..... Only managed to get to it 3 times.

The details in MD are not worth repeating, y'know. BLESS hausboy for giving me a "bright spot" for having me visit in Baltimore for one weekend. Bless HomoManSNJ for playing near Phillie. WOOF!

As to Mom's burial, she had dementia and has been dead to me for many years. (At least 8 or 9.) so, please do not think me cruel or heartless when I say....

I admit I'm meeting Wolf2Bear in St. Louis later that day.
I admit he invited me to the BDSM gathering called "Beat Me in St. Louis" almost a year ago.

I admit I've missed y'all more than I can say.
I admit I'll be on the road for a few more days.

I admit I am happy that Lance is back!

I admit I wish he hadn't had such a shitty time of it, but I'm glad he made it through, and even managed to have some good experiences in the process.

I admit I missed Lance and I'm glad he's back.

I admit that although your mom had dementia, she was still your mom, and {{{{{hugs}}}}} are given.

I admit my grandma was the same many years ago, I was closest to her, and I still miss her every damn day.

I admit that I totally understand about difficult relationships with moms, and having lost same without being able to fix it. I admit hugs to Lance for this, and Welcome Back; you are loved.

I admit that, after all my ministrations, it does not appear that my beautiful Kai kitteh is going to make it. The raging infection and resulting decay from the spider bite, which now appears to have been a fiddleback/brown recluse, have compromised his inner systems. I admit that the only thing left is to keep him warm and as comfortable as I can, and wait.

I admit that it is almost never too late for a miracle. Almost.
I admit that if I don't get to use my miracle on my kitteh, I'll be passing it on to Japan. I hear they have a shortage there..

I admit it I'm hoping for the miracle for Kai SJ.

I admit losing a furbaby is never easy, but they'll be waiting on the other side of the Rainbow Bridge for us, and have plenty of company with ours.

I admit I'm hoping for the best for your sake, and know how much you're caring for her and teh kitteh knows it. And is loving you all the more for it.

I admit I just deleted one of the funniest cmails I've ever received. It was from someone saying that I was playing a game wrong and they felt the need to tell me in a cmail.

I admit to this day I still think that person is a big douche bag.

i admit, i'm sorry to hear about Kai's condition =(

i admit, i'm also sorry to hear about Lance's mom -- but i do hope he has a good time at BMSL. one of these years, i'm going to go.

i admit, also sorry to hear about Greedy's favorite client. that doesn't really sound like a gluten thing to me, though "infection" brings to mind something different than "allergy;" there are often a lot of cross-over symptoms but gluten intolerance/allergy can affect people in so many ways, it would be really hard to say. gluten allergy can cause problems with the pancreas, though. but the arm-chair diagnosing thing isn't something i really want to get into.

good luck and good thoughts for everyone who needs them.

i admit, i have been reading about my dog's treatment, and i'm feeling more confident that he'll be okay. it's not a death sentence, totally treatable. i admit, i had a bout of Badpetparentitis
