ORIGINAL: Daddysredhead My neighbor decided to tell her that Thing 2's name used to be his "when he was a girl." If that weren't enough, he proceeded to lift his shirt and said, "See? This is where they cut my boobies off." Thing 2 was horrified, and I very nearly went rabid on him. I know that this is not typical behavior for a transgendered person, but rather the inappropriate ramblings of an asshole. I admit that telling such a thing, and displaying one's surgical scars to a 7 yr old, was more than I could take, and informed my neighbor to stay the fuck away from my kids. That decision came from his actions with my child, not because of his decision to align his physical attributes to his gender. I admit.... this horrified me! I'd like to slap him upside his stupid head. That is just SO wrong, for SO many reasons. what an asshat. I admit that I was horrified and enraged, hausboy. I would have loved for you to have been there to "educate" him. I admit that I had a really nice Easter today. I went to lunch with my Dad, then we came back to my place and just talked and hung out. Then I gave him a haircut and a big chocolate bunny. (what a combination, lol, but it works) I admit that I also made dinner for him, the Things, and my Manny. I also made a big thermos of sweet tea to take back with him. He was happy. I admit that I am hoping that everyone had a nice day, and that the upcoming week will be full of happiness. I admit that my prayers are with Kyttyn and her Dad. I understand that fear. My Mom, bless her, had a series of strokes and they were all scary. I would encourage you to get as involved as you feel comfortable, with his health care decisions. If he allows you to be part of his Medical Power of Attorney team, please get those papers filled out. (sometimes the hospital has not only a living Will, but MPOA docs that you can fill out) I admit that I wish that I had garlic bread with melted cheese on it right now. I don't know why, but it sounds really yummy. I also admit that I adore SJ and her post re: "confessionals." I am not Catholic, I'm Protestant, so I've never gone to confession. Therefore, I post in such a way that suits me at the time, rather than some sort of somber thing that should have monks doing Gregorian chant whilst I post. (except for the garlic bread with cheese... THAT is some serious admission right there!)
