I was in the car just heading to work when I saw that I had voice mail.  It was the clinical supervisor from work.  It turns out that in the 90 days that I have been on a temporary license, the MD Board of Nursing decided to just fuck around and, instead of issuing my a permanent license, they have done nothing.  They are now claiming that I never paid them the fee to have a license issues.  Since you have to go down to the BoN in person and hand over a money order and the application to them in person, there is absolutely no way I didn't pay.  They never would have issued me my 90 day letter otherwise.  But since they only accepy money orders, not checks or cards, I have no concrete proof of this.  So tomorrow I have to go down to the city and confront the BoN about this.  I know this has happened to a number of other people, and the concensus is that they will take at least two weeks to get me my number after I pay them again.  That means I not only have to come up with the application fee again, I also can't work until they come up with a license number for me.  That means we're fucking screwed.  That means I have to choose between rent and food next month.  That means I can't afford the gas to bring my um down for his visits.  That means we are fucking screwed!  I am the world's whipping boy.  Whatever the fuck I did in my last life must have been really fucking evil.

I admit if a big institution or even a  small company can find a way to screw you, a lot of the time they do so.

I admit you did nothing NOTHING wrong.  It's someone elses mistake and they're making you literally pay the consequences of their actions, not yours.

I admit it sucks big time for you right now, but there's always a way of things working out.  You can take that to the bank.

Status: offline 		I admit there will be no asshole tearing.  I'm too tired to fight them.  I'll just pay my fee and hope they get it done in two weeks.  It'll wipe out our savings, and we'll have no money for a deposit on a new apartment, but that just means we'll need to stay here longer I guess.

I admit I'm just tired of life today.
