ORIGINAL: tiggerspoohbear I admit I haven't taken a fall like this in years. Please don't tell me this happens semi-regularly? I'll come wrap you in foam padding myself! I've fallen down stairs, up stairs, tripped over stuff, banged my head countless time on the corner of the trunk of my car, fallen numerous times when I used to roller skates (my knees sound like rice krispies), dislocated each shoulder once, sprained my ankles more times than I can remember (we used to have 5 pairs of crutches at home, all mine), fallen off a flat pair of sandals about a dozen times, fell down 2 flights of stairs at different times, not counting the times I used to wear my platform shoes in h/s and taken dives off those, had a car door slammed on my fingers at 2nd knuckle level by my dad, slipped on more ice than I can remember, and the list goes on. I am a long-standing klutz of epic proportions. When I called my dad late yesterday afternoon to tell him I was at the hospital, he didn't even panic, just blew out a breath and said "whatdja do this time?". I admit I have files at 5 Ottawa hospitals, 5 in the Toronto area, 1 in the Kitchener area. Ottawa has the thickest files since I spent my first 18 yrs there, then another 13. They got to know me by name. Yet, with all that, I have never broken a bone. But there's always a first time. So yes, bubble wrap would be a good idea. I went out today to run some much needed errands and came home before I was done, I realized I shouldn't be driving, cars ahead of me were much closer than I was estimating. Another bone headed move considering it's now 5:30 pm and I've been awake since 7:30 yesterday morning. It hurts too much to sleep, can't get comfortable and all the doc told me to do was take Advil. Yuh huh that's really helping. NOT!!
