ORIGINAL: Kalista07 I admit it I was feeling really good about the money I had planned out on spending on catering stuff until I read the thread abut Lushy's cooking.....Now I feel like we are having crap.. I admit it I fear I'm going to have to wear my pajamas because despite the fact that my sister said she is going to help me pay for my wedding dress, He is never going to think $600 is an appropriate amount of money to spend on a dress. Okay, so let us help you out. Give us some links to dresses that you like, so we can see what your style is, and maybe we can come up with some alternatives that you like. For instance, I've seen the white or cream blouses and skirts at holyclothing.com used in weddings (the dresses aren't true to size, don't go there, just ask Hib). They're beautiful, they're floor-length, some are simple, some are elaborate... and a top and bottom can be had for under $100 total. As far as helping at the reception... what type of reception are you having? Is it going to be buffet? Is it going to be a served meal by the plate? Who is making the food? What do YOU really want, and what would make your guests most comfortable? For example, I know some families would faint at the idea of BBQ for a wedding; others wouldn't want it any other way. Cali
