I never thought comcast or dish were shady, On dish network you can set this show to be number one, and it'll never move from number one, unless you ask it to. and this show can be number two, and it'll never move from number 2 unless you ask it to. So lets just say your play list number one is drop dead diva, number two is parent hood, number 3 is CSI, and that's the order you want it prioritized and kept that way Direct tv, every time you program something new, it automatically jumps itself to the top of the list, forcing everything else to go down the list in priority, 1 becomes slot 2 show slot 2 show now becomes slot show 3 in priority and so on and so forth. This is incredibly frustrating when you have shows you want to be in top 1 and 2 spots and never move, it means every time you or someone in your house, like Daddy, for my house, programs something you have to go back and re arrange every single freaking show on your record que to be back where it should of been, not where it's been bumped down to. direct tv has been caught 3 times not disclosing stuff correctly. The first time they set us up with simple boxes that could not record or fast forward or any of that even though I specifically said I NEED DVR's,then they were supposed to send 2 dvr boxes and they sent a dvr box and a reciever , and then took a week to fix their mistake, the second time, they failed to before signing me up and getting me hooked into a 24 month contract, disclose if you did not buy a protection plan and something went wrong with your service and they came out they charged you 75 dollars a visit, and if it was the box they make you BUY ANOTHER BOX, and they restart your 23 month contract all over FROM THE BEGINNING. The installer barely even mentioned it , it was a more oh hey btw did you know.................. Then they told ON THE PHONE, to me it was 200 dollars to upgrade from a standard box, to a high def box, but when I went to do it they told me no if you do it by phone, it's gonna be 318 dollars, and you have to pay a 50 dollar fee because you're new customers, which if we'd been a year or more old they would not have charged. I was at least told if I did it online it'd be 199 dollars a box, and that didn't even include 15 dollars tax and the 50 dollar fee, so a box that was supposed to be 200 came out to be 269. They claim they have lower fee's than dish net work for recivers and that's just not true. They charge you 10 dollars a month per high def box you have, and then a 6 dollar leasing fee on top of that. That's already 32 dollars more than dish charges you. They put out coupons on the air and make it seem like every one can use them, and then come to find out you can only use the coupon if they mailed it to you in person, but do oh no they do not tell you that on the aired commercial, they just represent it as hey here's a coupon enjoy. I was NEVER so fed up and angry with dish in any time of my service as I was the first 4 days of direct tv, they ran me around a bunch of times and at one point when they tried to tell me I was going to have to pay double a cost to have a dvr box I told them to cancel my order I am going back to dish, before they finally quit fucking with me and trying to jack my rates. quote:
