I admit that I was chatting with a friend of mine the other night.

I admit that he said he might be coming out this way next weekend.

I admit that I'm going to be disappointed if he can't make it.

I admit that I haven't seen him in 5 years.

I admit that it's my fault for moving ~700 miles away.

I admit that I've been trying to entice him by promising a trip to the local club (Red's club).

I admit that he asked if there were any subs he could borrow. (Any volunteers?)

Heres another great brunch recipie for

Baked Apple Pancake (all in one oven proof skillet)

*

2 Granny Smith apples, peeled, cored, thinly sliced
*

1/2 cup each: granulated sugar, packed brown sugar
*

2 teaspoons cinnamon
*

1 cup milk
*

4 large eggs
*

1 cup all-purpose flour
*

Pinch salt
*

1/4 cup ( 1/2 stick) unsalted butter

Instructions

Heat oven to 425 degrees. Lightly oil a 10-inch cast-iron skillet. Toss apples with both sugars and cinnamon in a large bowl.

Mix milk and eggs in a blender or food processor; add flour and salt and mix to combine.

Melt butter in prepared skillet over medium heat. Add apple mixture; cook, stirring often, until sugar melts, about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and pour batter over.

Bake until pancake is puffed and golden, 20 to 30 minutes. Serve at once.

Seriously Lushy, I must have this but it's only me, how am I gonna make this yummy dish for one?

Cut up french bread into how much you would eat. Make french toast liquid how younormally would. Enough for the bread, Milk eggs and vanilla. In a pot melt butter, brown sugar and corn syrup. Mix ingredients of all 3 till you get the consistency you want. Put it in a small pan or small oven proof dish. Refrigerate over night. Bake at 350. A regular recipe says 45 minutes. Just make sure its browned, puffed up and the soaking liquid has been absorbed into
the french toast. Not sure if it would be the same amount of time though I would check way before that for a smaller pan.

I admit I quit smoking again yesterday because I put quiting on hold for the holidays. I admit that I am at my dads house and he's in Fort Lauderdale. I admit I took 2 allergy pills to get to sleep. I admit Im just getting up now at after 11. I admit that I would be happy to sleep the next 3 or 4 days away as it would make quiting smoking that much easier.

i admit that i did the first and only lie to Master. i have begged Him to help me quit smoking.Finally out in the boon docks, with my jeep secure in His garage, i smoke my last one. So He so graciously bought me patches. (how sweet). So i went all day NEEDing that cigarette, but i didnt. The next day, i was dying especially after O/our dinner. So off to the movies W/we went.
There happened to be a grocery store right beside it. Cannot handle the pressure any longer, i excused myself to goto the ladies room, and dashed to the grocery store, for well cigs!! i literally puffed gently on it, while keeping upwind, fanning myself, and then popped in 12 Altoids, and chewed like mad getting back to O/our seats. SIGHS sure enough He said smell smoke, and constantly sniffed me, and i do mean constantly! So i went brave enough to say kiss me, (praying the Altoids worked) and He did. But all through the movie He said i smell the smoke, and i for the very first time lied, and told Him He was delusional. He said He was gonna search me, and to my incredible luck He did not! So after W/we got back to His place, He wasnt feeling well and wanted to goto bed. NORMALLY i fall right behind Him, but made the excuse i needed to take the NyQuil first. He got the hint, and SEARCHED my coat pocket. I was dying!!!!! Then the incredible laughter and more shame to me. He took them and "hide" them. So no nightly smoke for me. As i turned into bed, i told Him i REALLY need a cigarette, PLEASE. i did everything i could to get Him to tell me where they was... EVERYTHING... He finally gave in and said they were in the kitchen drawer. WHEW i rushed to the kitchen and to my surprise they were not THERE!!!!!! i searched the entire kitchen, calling Him a liar, saying You lied to me, you liar!!!!! (smiles) You should have heard the laughter from the bedroom. So off to bed i went, now panicked that i may not get those cigarette and what was worse i knew they were there!!! so my lil plushed duckie that
He bought me, first caressed Him softly and played with Him, trying desperately to get Him to please tell me where they are. But nope! i finally got so upset that i tossed the duckie into the wall. He quickly replied, Your picking that duck up now arent you! sighs Yes Master as i already felt horrid that i threw the duck. i love the duck! Thoughts raced through my head, of waiting till He was asleep and taking off for cigs at the nearest convenience store. But how could i not wake Him when i opened the garage door!!! UGGGGG. i hated Him. Luckily i pulled myself together, and said only one more thing. Just because YOU couldnt stop smoking by limiting Your intake doesnt mean i cannot! With that a big laugh, finally i can to reason and took my nyquil to knock me out so i wouldnt think about them!

It is hard, because he has always seemed so invincible. But, I am grateful for the time I got with him this visit.

{{{{{supermondomegahugs}}}}} i understand what you are going through Trapped, i am caring for my mother-in-law who has Alzheimer's have hope, my mother-in-law was diagnosed early and her Dr fought her insurance company to get her on Aricept early. She was first diagnosed 4 years ago and is just getting to the point of confusing people, not just their names. We also helped take care of my husbands Aunt who also had Alzheimer's and 1 of the up sides of the disease is as she regressed in age she remembered more of her younger lifeand was able to talk more about it. i know this is a terible disease, but if treated correctly and early enough, you might get more time with your grandfather than you think. all this is assuming he was recently diagnosed and he is not far progressed.
