I admit I smell love bloomin in the air lately around here and it's not even close to Valentine's Day!

I admit I might be finally getting a bike tonight! Woohoo! A diamondback lustre mountain bike that I asked about on craigslist someone is selling. I have to see it tonight and if it works and is a right fit, I'm gonna buy it and then I can start riding again. Yay

I admit that I wish Facebook had a filter where I could black out all the religious posts that make my head crazy. Or at least make my Inner Jesuit crazy. Because I do not want to start rants about the nature of free will I do NOT.

I admit that I have missed 2 appointments with the lab at my doctors office. First time, I was sick all night, yesterday, I woke up having panic attacks.

I admit that I just figured out I must not want to get this done, for whatever psychotic reason.

I admit I just called and left a message with the appointment desk, and I hope they will schedule it one more time.

A friggen glucose tolerance test. I have worked so hard for the past couple of months, exercising and eating right, went for bloodwork, and bad cholesterol was down to great numbers, good cholesterol was more awesome than normal, 22 pounds lost. Then they call me and tell me my sugar was 146 and the doctor wants me to do this tolerance test, because she is afraid I have become diabetic. I had been pre diabetic before this.

I am terrified of the results, because, if I have become diabetic, after doing everything I can do to get healthier, I am afraid it will destroy me.

Ah. I have diabetes BIG TIME on both sides of the family, it's the only health issue I serious

ly monitor. I absolutely dread becoming diabetic... both parents are in the clear so far.

~hugs~ try and gear up, though...the side effects are so bad, long term.

Quit fucking putting it off!

My lead pressman discovered this year he is diabetic. He thought he was getting plenty of exercise and eating healthy. Hewas not overweight and bicycles more than just about anyone I know. He went to some classes offered at the hospital and now, after a few months with some really minor diet and exercise changes, is doing a FABULOUS job of keeping things under control with no meds at all.

Just DO IT!!!!!!!!!

A trend I have been noticing is that everyone is diabetic now, just like everyone has high cholesterol, and high blood pressure. Meh.

At least you will KNOW, and can make decisions from there. Also, stress makes sugar spike, so chow some xanax beforehand.

I am gonna ask if I can take a Xanax beforehand though.
