i admit i am going to comment on the moderation here in open view. the reason being that while it's fine that you have removed posts in connection to one item, i think it's pretty poor form to remove entire posts by users when certain sections don't even have anything to do with what you are removing.

we do not edit posts.if we started doing that, can you not see in advance tuhe speculation on what was removed and how that puts us in an editorial position we do not want to be in? The safe thing to do is not to quote our reply to a post you feel will be pulled, or to word your reply to the topic and not any post you have a question about

We've heard that before, "just don't quote if you think it will be pulled".

This requires users to be PSYCHIC, Alpha. And really, isn't that expecting a lot in the random stupidity section, NOT a zone where posts are traditionally pulled?
