I admit... We've been friends for 21 years!

I admit... even when I lived away.. I would come home to celebrate with her.

I admit... She's in France right now... :( (On vacation... what a wench)

I admit... I sent a care package with her... to open today. It has a facial mask, 2 new nail polishes, a cosmo magazine, and a picture of us when we were little.

I admit... I miss her, but my heart swells because I know that no matter how near or far...she is the truest friend I've ever had.

I admit my longest friendship is 29 years old and the next one (from length) 15....the one which would be 29 years as well did not make it so far....as we split after 19 years....

I admit I moved my vegetables inside now...so they live in my bathroom as well as in the kitchen...

This experience has also reaffirmed my faith which I had been questioning over the last few years. I never thought it was possible to love someone this much and to just truly enjoy being with them. I am an incredibly lucky girl and can't wait for all the years ahead we get to spend together.

I admit I made some great headway on the household organization mission! I not only have pictures on the walls (well, a few anyway), but...(wait for it...)

I CAN NOW ACTUALLY WALK INTO THE SPARE ROOM!!! I mean, almost to the closet!! I am SOOO proud of myself, I got rid of 3 trashbags of stuff (ok, I'm not saying it was easy to toss some -most - of it, because there were memories attached, but I did it anyway!!). of course, as soon as a bag was filled, I took it to the dumpster, just to make sure I didn't allow any twinges make me retrieve something! LOL

I admit hubby and I grew up a block apart, went to elementary school together. Even back then, he was "the one". I moved away at the end of grade six (1977). In 1988, just before starting nursing school, I took my one and only vacation alone, and went back home. I wanted to see if there was anything there for me. We had both been engaged, but had broken things off, him for drugs, me for abuse. Anyways, I flew into town on Sunday, we got together on Monday, and by Wednesday we were talking about getting married. That happened in 1991. We have two beautiful, talented children, one boy, one girl. And a cat, can't forget the cat!

Anyways, the point of this little story is that I do believe in predestination. Not for everyone. But for some of us, we truly get what we want.
