I admit I haven't gone to see any of my family in over 10 years because I hate the area where they all live and where I grew up and because of their attitudes.
I admit one sister has come to "visit" me. She didn't specifically come to visit me. She just happened to be in the area and dropped by.

I admit none of my family have ever really come to visit me. I have always been forced to visit them and thus another reason why I stopped.

I admit we had yummy Indian for dinner and then gelato for dessert, in Berkeley.

I admit living in a big city - suburban area is still a little anxiety inducing for me. I suffer from social anxiety at the best of time so lots of people/crowds of degrees of interesting to scary is pretty hard at the best of times! This is a far cry from Melbourne or the tiny town where I spent the last 13 years.

hey kitkat, i lived in a large city in cali for years, then came to small town outside adelaide. even after two decades here, i sometimes go, 'wow, you can't do that/get that' here? i missed a lot of big city things when i first came here. now i keep gravitating to smaller and smaller places :)

i do miss proper mexican though. not the pansy, anglisized version we get.

I admit I like living in Baltimore because while it is considered a major city, it's like living in a large town and not a city, especially in the area of Baltimore where I live. Where I live is quiet and neighborly and not the ghetto like most of Baltimore but yet close enough to the downtown that I can walk to it in minutes.

KMsAngel - I am quite enjoying the mexican food, I don't think that novelty will wear off anytime soon! It is nice in the country, in Australia. Peaceful, calm and safe. My town had 1000 people. People didn't even lock their doors! So, yes, when I find myself surrounded by every nationality, hipsters, young people, old people, homeless people, etc (in Berkeley), I am thoroughly overwhelmed!

LW - I knew there had to be at least a nice part somewhere in Baltimore. It does get a pretty bad rap I think!

I admit that someone hit my nephew in Tampa in his "new" car. The jerk ran a stop light. Little C has a concussion and whiplash. The entire family is advising a lawyer.

I admit that this is the nephew that Lizard fell in "love" with when she was 2. Told her about that accident and she was upset about it. She cussed out the other driver for being a jerk and hurting her favorite cousin (baby M comes a close 2rd).

I admit that I am up early. An injury I got over 31 years ago is hurting me so I took some Tramadol and hopes it works on it.

I admit that I am about to check my lottery tickets. I broke down and brought a Powerball ticket. If I win, pay off bills, buy a house in Austin and build a house for Mom and me.

I admit.........I was reading a dead thread, catching up, and yanno that whole concept of gang mentality, a clique........just cracks me up no end.

Human beings tend to gather together. It's what they do. Odds have it, some of those human beings are going to have similar ideas about various issues and vocalize them in one way or another. The idea that several people agreeing with one another and vocalizing it makes them a gang or clique just totally fucking REEKS of insecurity and bullshit.

People come to this forum to communicate with other people.......at least one would probably be safe in making that assumption. But it slays me how many of those people get their thongs stuck in their anal cavity when, horror of all horrors, the other people they are communicating with don't always agree with them and........sob.......offend their delicate sensibilities. Fucking pussies.
