ORIGINAL: littlewonder Tea and coffee will dehydrate if drunk in large amounts since they both contain caffeine which is a known diuretic. But if you drink it in moderate amounts then you are ok. So, don't be drinking caffeinated drinks all day long and you will be fine. There's this saying which I live by and I think everyone else should also if they wish to live a healthy life...... Everything in moderation ETA: If you are finding that you think your water tastes awful, first get a filter. It could be you have hard water, iron or other minerals or chemicals in your water which changes the flavor. The best water I've ever had was from a natural stream that ran off a mountain in my backyard when I was growing up. It was crisp, clean and it was like Nectar of the Gods. Delicious. Also try adding ice cubes. I find that when I add lots of ice cubes and it's really cold, I can drink water all day long. But I need ice cubes so it's ice cold. Plain cold water or lukewarm, room temp water tastes awful to me. I admit I have been bottled spring water, and I am the only one in the house that dont like the taste. I admit the beverage of choice is tea or coffee, in large amounts, I use a 32 oz insulated mug for both beverages and manage two or three of those full of coffee before switching to tea. I admit, the usual way I drink water involves a double shot of whiskey and two ice cubes. I admit to having two of the mixed drinks on the odd night since I am not to take my sleep aid two nights in a row. I admit that the only water I have actually liked plain was the spring water at my grandmother's house, which had a slight sweet taste to it.
