I admit that I think cell phones of any kind are part of the insidious conspiracy of the "domesticated" feline life forms that are slowly taking over the world, hence I will not own or use one....

I admit that I do not want the cats or anyone else knowing where I am through the GPS thingie in those phones.

I admit I need 12 .50 caliber miniguns, 12 fully operational T82 or German Leopard tanks and a Subway restaurant on my property to defend my home against the cats... and those people who believe in the NWO.

I admit I am not paranoid about cats, look at how they hampered the ancient Egyptians.

I admit that my favorite place is a chunk of property I own where there is no cell service... It is fun to watch people go through cell phone withdrawal.

I admit today was NOT a good day.

I admit I had to get the mechanic out again, another $20 for a boost. He shows up, the booster he came with was dead. I had to laugh, it was just so ironic. His "I'll be back in 10-15 min" turned into 90 minutes. Just as his son showed up to boost my car with one of theirs, one of the city by-law officers was there just about to issue me a fine for being parked 1/2 on the sidewalk, someone had called to complain.

I admit I can't blame them, but my car wouldn't start, and couldn't be moved. He was nice enough to issue a notice & smart chickie poo that I am I managed to convince the new tenant to park on the outside, so now HE'S 1/2 on the sidewalk. I told him once I had my car back in, there was plenty of room to move his over by at least a good foot, but being some young hothead with attitude (OH YAY!!) he refused and said if he was fined he'd take it to court. I think he may end up towed instead since the sidewalk plows will be by and they won't be able to get through.

I admit my car started, I drove all over town in impossible conditions just to get some miles on the battery and I hope it starts in the morning so I can move it to have the snow removal the landlady hired able to clear the front of the house, FINALLY!!

I admit I got my groceries done at least, I was out of so much. It took 3 trips to get everything up the stairs but dammit, I did it.

I also admit I'm pretty sure about $50 or $60 was stolen out of my wallet when I forgot my purse in the car, zippers opened and the new tenant and his friend moved my car. Can't accuse but I know I was short when I went into my wallet. I didn't realize I didn't have my purse in my apartment until yesterday. The car may also have been unlocked, but all my cd's were still there. I'm harrumphing over that one.

*I admit hugs and well wishes to all and hope that ash stays safe in that awful place
*I admit the depression I've fought for years is coming back, yesterday I sat in the car and started bawling for no apparent reason.
*I admit I told one of my profs that her policy of restricting postings on discussion boards for the classes I'm taking online was asinine. I'm too old to kiss any narcissistic prof's ass and when someone is wrong I'm going to say something. Isn't the purpose of a discussion board to discuss the subject at hand? What a dumb ass!
*I admit I am having trouble sleeping again, I can't sleep more than an hour at a time. I may need a new bed.
*I admit someone was in my car and messed around with all my mirrors and things when I ran in to the drug store today. I would swear my lock button keychain thing locked those doors, which gives me the willies! is it going to work when I really need it to?
*I admit I really need to get laid again someday before I die! the lack of acceptable candidates around this town really depresses me. small town hicks that have had every available piece of ass in sight do nothing for me. dogs will screw anything too, I don't want to date one!

I admit I arranged the interview yesterday but am very likely indeed to cancel it the week after next week....as this post is not what I am looking for after all

I admit my field has such a huge range of options to work with but I do know which ones I don't want for sure and therefore am more likely to stick with my current one for now...

I admit I just got home from my stay with F and we had a heck of a lot of banter, which was great

I admit just after my arrival he mentioned that another politician here lost her Dr. title now due to plagiarism and I said "yeah, I was already wondering, how long you will be able to keep yours (he has a Dr. in physics)"

I admit he said "thanks  you think I would have done plagiarism or what ."

I admit I can't wait to live closer to him at some point in the near future and hate the fact, that right now, we don't know if he will remain in his current area or not....as it is just a pain in the arse having to drive 3 hours to meet up

I admit I am glad that I checked the traffic news on my way home carefully as otherwise I would have ended up in a 10km traffic jam as a car was on fire on the motorway in my area... so I thankfully could go off 2km before that area and take a different route on my way home

I admit I am going off to bed now, watching some TV there via laptop....as I am a fair bit knacked and not interested in watching the crap which TV has on offer...

I admit it is beyond belief how rarely we have really good stuff coming on TV on a saturday evening these days...

I admit since when did it actually stop, to be a family programme on that particular evening

I admit I wonder about people who don't have basic transportation but they can afford a high end smart phone.

Hilly,

I ride a bicycle and have an Iphone 5. *shrug* I chose it though... so maybe that's not what you're talking about.

Allie

No allie, it's not. I rent space to a social services charity. I see a lot of folks coming in there driving cars better than I can afford with a high end smart phone in their hand asking for assistance.
I also see people in CM who dont have the basics and posting from a cell phone.

My firsr job out of college required a degree and paid 5.98/hour and I rode a bike to work 18+ miles each way.

I just dont have a lot of tolerance for what I mentioned above.

I admit, I find it so difficult to swallow (especially at 6:30 AM) when people judge others for how they think their lives are when really, they know jack shit about their lives.

When my mother was my age, we went to the store and she used food stamps. She then got "spoken to" outside because she was driving a nice car and using food stamps. Then my mother cried in the car. She had borrowed the car from a neighbor because hers was broken. Way to kill somebody's pride. And saying something like that on a message board instead of to someone's face makes it no better.

Just because someone is in need doesn't mean that every area of their lives should be indicative of living in squalor.

That iPhone or car you're complaining about may very well have been a gift. Or something that person saved up for. Or it may help give them and their children a sense of normalcy and belonging. Or they may have needed to make the investment for their job. Or they may have owned it already before they hit on hard times. Or it may be the one thing that makes that person be able to hold their head up high, whether you are in agreement with what makes them feel good or not.

No doubt there are some that abuse the system. Does that mean that all of one's possessions must be old, used, and dirty before they are worthy of assistance? How condescending.

I find it cruel to expect that somebody struggling must always look the part.

Well said Kaliko....

in the UK I never had a car either as owning a car over there was considered by myself to be too expensive whilst studying and working next to it....but still spent money on my iphone as well as awesome holidays....

Actually I had to laugh during last year when my dad told me that my brother dared to complain to him that my parents would have funded me my car here....when as a matter of fact they did not, as I bought it entirely on my own....that moaning and whining coming from a brother who just got one or two years before then shoved 5k up his arse by my parents to clear the student debts from his wife....so he had no reason whatsoever to feel neglected, even IF my parents would have funded my car....

Or the same how my dad lives in his belief that I surely wasted a fortune on cash during my time in the UK cause he has seen one or two payslips where I earned 2800 after tax on salary....now...he never told me that he has seen those, though he did open his mouth about "knowing that I would have lived like that..." and was in no way interested to actually hear the truth about my income there "....later at some point mum told me that he had seen those one or two payslips and I asked her "did he actually also realise that i worked 350 hours in that month to get such a payslip?" and "did he actually also see that I had payslips with just 800 bucks on it and at times even less than that?"

Cause as a member of the relief staff team I had the bonus to be able to take on many shifts if I am able to get hold of them....but at the same time I am also not guaranteed any shifts and so quite frankly some months have been pretty tight financially...

But yep....some oh so smart family members did see a tiny part of it and so made up their mind, no matter how wrong their view actually was...

And therefore I can totally agree with Kaliko...its way better to get to know the people before actually judging them....but thats just me and I do know that sadly very often humans give a shit these days to get to know the folks, before they judge them.

I admit that I am on stamps, Medicare and Medicaid since I am disabled. I don't drive but I live with my mother who is my payee or else I would not get my SSI. I get frozen meals and discounted meats at Walmart. I also buy from the bread store unless I am at the MHMR office and Mom goes there without me.

I admit that I woke up in pain this morning. Damn arthritis is killing my back and it is raining also so a double whammy!

I remember getting discounted cakes for Lizard's birthday on stamps. If I went at a certain time, I would also get fresh ground beef from the butcher block at Albertsons. The produce guy would have over ripe bananas saved for me so I made a lot of banana nut muffins with chocolate chips.

I admit that I am up super early, excited that my sub is visiting! This will be an excellent week.

I admit I love music. I played rap music to help me clean the house and danced while vacuuming, sweeping and folding clothes. Nothing makes the day go faster than blasting Rick Ross for hours.
