Status: offline 		I admit I've half a mind to set up an impromptou 'burner' made from tealights just so I can boil water for a cuppa, despite the fact that half the time doing so results in melted candle cups and nasty, billowing black plastic fumes.
I admit I hate my sister visiting, if only for the sole fact that she almost always brings her dog, to whom I am allergic.
I admit being confined to the upper floor because of the dog would be far more tolerable if I at least had a way to make a decent cup of tea.
I admit I've saved a pair of soda cans for months with which to make an alcohol-fuelled burner, but have yet to get around to actually constructing said burner.

Edit: I admit, speaking of alcohol, in lieu of tea I've opened a bottle of very tasty plum wine.

I admit that being a survivalist/prepper prevents me from actually having this problem (I have various cooking apperatuses)
I admit I have no clue what a cuppa is
I admit that if the tealights result in a lot of smoke, something is not being done right.
I admit that there is a microwave in my room
I admit that if the dog is properly bathed, allergies should not be a problem.

A cuppa is a short way of saying a cup of ... In Yorkshire the accent is well known for leaving out great parts of words, and parts of sentences, something I'm actually not particularly great at myself as I don't actually have a discernible accent. My ex playmate, a Southerner, actually could do a better Northern accent than I can, however, 'D y wanna cuppa?' said as virtually a whole word in its own right is a typical way of being asked if you'd like a hot drink around these parts.

I admit that this 'civilized' approach to dealing with people fucking with my family is against my nature

I saw that our very own Nigel Farage had been on stage with Trump. Farage ought to be the biggest thing that Britain is ashamed of. During the EU referendum his hate spouting got one of our MPs killed, and yet people think he's wonderful. I have a couple of people in my friend list on Facebook that I could happily throat punch for supporting the bile that drips from this maggot, and then I see that he's up there with Trump.

It scares me that people take these men so seriously instead of seeing them for the poison that they are. I'm at a total loss because I can in no way see any sanity in their thinking.

I have suffered increased racial abuse since the referendum, and when I mentioned this one of my friends of 25 years said to me 'You live in a predominantly white middle class area. What about those living in (and named two other areas in my town), don't you ever consider them, and how they feel?'. Baring in mind that one is totally white, and probably what you'd class as trailer trash, but in houses, and that no-one in their right mind would want to go there, well no, and the other is a low end area where it is mostly rented, whites don't want to live because the landlords don't look after the places, so Romanians have moved in. Even if they all moved out our own still wouldn't want to live there. Some how though I was being selfish for mentioning my racial abuse on my personal page just because of where I happen to live. I've lived here most of my life, suffered racial abuse all of my life, and found that living in a higher class area doesn't bring a better class of abuse, racism is classless.

I admit that there are quite a few things that Britain should be ashamed of, and this Farage character is not even in the top 20.
I admit that that Chamberlain guy that announced "peace in our lifetime" is the top of my list.


On a different note:
I admit I just talked to the family law attorney handling the custody issue, and played a few of the cps caseworker's best remarks.
I admit that he was laughing his ass off for a good five minutes after hearing them.

I admit that the rope comment probably had nothing to do with bondage.....

At present, in our world of politics we have some very dangerous people, but yeah, let's pick out the guy that wanted world peace 80 years ago as being our biggest shame RIGHT NOW

Status: offline 		needlesandpins I went to one of your educational establishments for 6 years I wonder if we ever crossed paths...the nights out were 10/10.

Time and how to quantify it - here is how I do it I am 46 i round that up to 50. World war 1 was 2 of my lifetimes ago and number 2 about 1.5. In essence a mere blink of the eye. I can get up to a factor of about 300 but anything after that becomes meaningless to my mind.

I admit that if it comes to right now, then I would tend to agree with your choice, however, being a history type academic critter, I tend to look at things from a rather different perspective.

I admit that my first choice for major British shame was the "Spice Girls."

I admit that Nigel Farage calling Donald Trump the "new Ronald Reagan" is funny as hell, since when Reagan was alive he considered Trump an ass.

I admit that the judge on this case is a local supporter of the local amateur Shakespeare Players group.
