Tolkein aside, we have no evidence that the dragons spoken of in the lives of (now apocryphal) saints are big dinosaur looking firebreathing reptiles* rather than demonic metaphors, and we might still have a pleisiosaur in a loch in Scotland anyway. (Though far more likely we don't.)
Besides the Germans killed a lot more dragons than the British can lay claim to (Hell, Beowulf came to Britain from Saxony looking for something big to kill, didn't he? Fucker brags about carving up a couple of whales while he was swimming the channel when he's introduced to Heorot as well, iirc.), and I don't see you giving them a hard time over it.

Fair enough about the rest, though.

*(There's a nice description in one of Pat Mills' early Slaine comics from the mid '80s of how dragons evolved from the quetzacoatlus pterodactyl, and devoloped the firebreathing technique to allow creatures of their size to fly by coasting on thermal updrafts.)

I admit that I think the since 1900, the British have blamed the Germans for EVERYTHING.... when prior to that it was always the fault of the French.
Or the Spanish
or the Scots
or the Irish

I have never heard a Brit even causally say, "you know, we may have done something to piss off the <insert country or group here>"

A friend of mine was once thrown out of an independence day party for standing on a table, raising his glass, and demanding that all present drank a toast to her majesty Betty Windsor. Didn't go down well at all.

Besides, there are no nations on Earth that we haven't pissed off at some point. Apart from Monaco, who don't have a football, rugby or cricket team.

I admit I have been drinking seven and seven since about 1730 today.
I admit that my attitude may leave much to be desired.... okay, my attitude sucks.
I admit that I am still not drunk enough to make typing impossible.
I admit that the alcohol is a hell of a lot more enjoyable than the fucking pain meds
I admit that nobody has any reason to be mad at me for twisting my knee (looks like a damn red bruised volley ball) because their lazy daughter and her worthless piece of shit boyfriend cannot come out like they said they would to help fix a damn roof vent.
I admit further that your grandson acting out because his mother broke another promise to him and did not visit today because she wanted to get wasted is also not my fault.

I admit that I have come to the conclusion that everyone under the age of 40 (and a few above that age) seems to be lazy, inconsiderate, and incapable of keeping their word.

Now, can we declare a federally mandated legal hunting season on drug dealers and suppliers? Put a bounty on them, $24.95 per pair of ears, and have the local law enforcement people post their pics on the net.

Yes, the knee was injured when the ladder slipped while I was coming off the roof.

These should be available through the government.and you should be required to go to an OASIS type program, education and group therapy. Plus offering other leisure time activities.

This is what Portugal's been doing and their success rate is extraordinary. People may go through the programs for five years but do eventually stop using. Better results than anything here.

They should just legalise it. (I like some Peter Tosh.) How much tax revenue could they raise, instead of the money just being pumped out of the country to evil swine (many of them fundraisers for daesh) and vanishing without a trace? The shit you buy would be a lot more likely to be what you're paying for (or at least less likely toxic and/or cut with stuff you'd normally wear thick gauntlets to handle and try to avoid inhaling) as well.

DesFIP, no disrespect intended, but considering the damage those substances due to the user, and the fact that once hooked on the shit they are willing and desperate enough to steal, sell themselves or whatever to get it, legalization is the last thing I want to see.

I would suggest you read up on drug addicted new born children and then talk about legalization.

I have a standing script for vicodine due to chronic pain (and while the directions are one every 4 to six hours as needed) the only time I take one is when I am in so much pain I cant function at all, otherwise, I pour myself a couple of drinks and leave them alone.

Yet, due to my niece, I have to lock those pills up in a fucking gun safe to keep them from walking off.

I know that addiction is a physical as well as mental disease, but give me a break. She could not stay off the drugs or even go to drug rehab in order to get her son back from CPS, which is why my sister has court ordered custody.

And as much as I would love to tell that boy just why his mother does not care as much for him as she does the drugs, I dont.

So, in my opinion, drug dealers and suppliers should go from conviction to the electric chair, and have the executions publically broadcast, or as I said, make it legal to collect a bounty on their fucking ears (which means you leave an earless corpse laying around.)

Of course, I support capital punishment for rapists, child molesters, etc. on the first conviction.

I use a military issue zippo, have used the same lighter for 33 years.

I admit that I have a nasty habit of smacking folks upside the head for using my cherished zippo (dont believe me, ask anyone in the family) there is one, unbreakable, written in stone rule, touch my zippo and get hurt.

Cricket 2.5 billion.
Baseball all of 500 million.
American football, only about 400 million.

I admit it has been an interesting morning
I admit that my shrink has an intern (not sure if this is accurate, local college student majoring in psychology observing sessions)
I admit that I make said college student nervous as hell.
I admit that I enjoy making said college student nervous.
I admit that all it took was an answer to one specific question posed by said college student.
I admit that question was "do you know that your psychological profile could indicate an anti social personality?"
I admit that my answer was "I pride myself on being anti social, and considering the way that society is going, in general, who the hell wants to be social?"
I admit that my shrink seemed to help make the student nervous by asking, "did you leave your pistol in the car or did you forget again?"
Of course she did explain to the student I had a carry permit.
I admit that only once did I carry the weapon into the shrink's office, and I did ask the receptionist to lock it up while I was there.

I admit that I saw my gp today.
I admit another 16 pounds gone bye bye
I admit my A1C is now normal
I admit that my cholesterol is now at the low side of normal
I admit that my doctor was, to use the brit term, gobsmacked.
I admit that the doctor told me I was the only one of his patients who was categorized as diabetic that has succeeded in lowering their A1C numbers, Cholesterol and weight.

I admit that the only thing I did was change my diet, simply because I did not want to have to take meds for it.
