I admit it is a blessing to have a family that has no genetic link to us at all.

Friends made into family are Gods apology for relatives.

I admit moving 3000 miles away from my family was the healthiest choice I ever made for myself or my kids.

I didn't move, but i did disassociate myself from them. The healing began from there.
My parents have a son who has never seen his nephew and never will (it is in writing in my will). I have immediate DNA relations that do not know i remarried and have a family.
It took years to feel comfortable saying it without feeling like a snob...but it is their loss.

Status: offline 		Holly I had to move so that I could heal. So that my children could heal. I needed that safety net of distance.

My family is part of the reason I wrote my will and my medical paper thingy (forget the tech. name).

I have a wonderful family though, in my children, in my friends. So it is their loose.

Status: offline 		I admit it's sad to say that I have (since I was a kid) been closer to my friends than my own family (mostly the mother).

I admit we get along fine when I live in a different state.

I admit some of the hurtful words that can come out of family members mouths are enough to make me want to walk away for ever.

I admit setting boundaries was the best thing I could have done with mom years ago. Since then, she doesn't spout off nearly as much.

I admit I love what Holly said. Her is so smart.

I admit I had an admit in the car but I forgot it. I also admit that I bought shoes. Yay clearance racks! One pair was not on clearance, but.... I had to have them.
