I admit that I am feeling left out by some of the local folks. This only makes me slightly sad, because hey story-of-my-life, but I do feel like the party is elsewhere.

BUT!! I admit that tomorrow I am going to a GAY RODEO!! How this differs from other rodeos I am not certain, but HEY!!! I will get to meet Cowboijen from Philly AND her horse!! Sunday is the hook pull. Meh. I am sad to say meh, but I just feel very unenthusiastic about having limes sewn on me and bopping around.

BEAMAGE ALL AROUND!!!

Status: offline 		Lushy... that story reminded me so much of the personal struggles I have had with my 12 yr old son who is on the extreme end of the autstic sprectrum. He didn't speak or communicate with us at all until 5 yrs ago. We were trick or treating that halloween. His sister was saying thank you then all of the sudden i heard this slurred quick "thank you" I literally grabbed him and bawled like a baby. He had never spoke a word before. He said thank you over and over and I kept crying. People thought I was nuts. That was the only thing he said for almost 6 mths then we started using a communication book and typing on the computer and i was able to hear my son, to communicate with him for the 1st time. Thank you for sharing that story... it reminded me of the special things... the important things.

Thank you for also reminding me that I really have it easy with my 11 year old with Aspergers syndrome. I have to direct and coach him and it makes me tear my hair out that he cant remember certain things while remembering odd things with precision. And he has to be told to even look at the checklist or clock....

I truly am humbled by your strength.

Status: offline 		I dont know how to react to you saying you are humbled by my struggle Lushy, for me I had no choice. He was / is my son. His biological father tried to have him institutionalized 6 yrs ago and I fought with every thing I had to stop that from happening. I couldn't give up on my son. I still can't We all have our own struggles, I couldn't imagine how much our children, yours and mine struggle inside their own skin. I am humbled by them. Thank you again for sharing that video.

I said I was humbled By your "strength". There is a difference. I do not pity you or expect pity myself. But I do admire strength that we end up having because they are our children.
