ORIGINAL: tjeannette I do not mean that those with genetic conditions should not be allowed to raise children, merely to not have their own. Personally, I want no children of my own blood, having seen the genetic conditions my family on both sides are prone to. By those not mentally stable, those who I believe should not be able to raise children at all, I mean those decided by their psychiatrists, and worse, those that have been caught hurting children previously. By our laws, even those that have abused children can still produce more, and often the child protection services must catch them hurting the new children before taking them... except in very extreme cases. I do not mean to start this debate, here, on this thread. I can have this debate, however, if you'd like... not to be rude, it's just a subject I'm very much interested in. tj I admit that I am glad you defined your parameters as those that have hurt children or been deemed by their psychiatrists as not stable enough to have children, I wasn't sure what you meant. Thanks for answering :) No you weren't rude, I just wanted clarification, and you weren't obligated to give it to me, so thanks for the response! I admit I don't want a debate, just a discussion and a civil one, so thanks!
