Ah ha! Thanks for the info, Llyren. Well, I wasn't so far off, at least it was from an old tv show, or at least inspired by one. :)

read all the books, and saw one movie,
but no box for that :(

I am one of the "wonders what all the fuss is about" crowd.

Nothing about it appeals to me at all. Another teenage angst movie with pretty faces they can use to sell kids with too much money a bunch of crap. The only difference that I can see between this story line and a hundred others is the vampire angle.

Pretty much sums up my response.

Since seeing the first movie, I will see the second. Though I much prefer vampire movies that has vampires that are much darker. Personally I'm more partial to werewolves, they seem to be more animalistic in nature and that is highly appealing and desirable!

The cinema nearest to me is only open during daylight hours, so I couldn't go and see it.

See...werewolves don't have that sunlight restriction  *grinz*

Read the books, loved them. Have the first movie, but haven't seen it yet - not a big fan of movies in general.

Kids who read this series read 2,560 pages. Because they wanted to, not because they had to.

2 thumbs up for anything that makes reading cool, to teens in particular.

pretty funny if ya read the books:

It's only been a few years since I was a teenage girl, and I still have a tendency to a) get all emo b) think vampires are cool and c) occasionally enjoy watching beautiful people being beautiful in lieu of any actual acting talent. All of which I dislike about myself, so I refuse to encourage it by watching the films or reading the books.
