wisdomtogive -> RE: Re: cursing (12/12/2009 3:12:29 PM)

I would like to attempt to clarify what i was researching for my own understanding. First of all i do not judge or look down at others for cussing. That would be preposterous on my part. I do not see me as being better because i don't.  Let me use an analogy to demonstrate why I asked. Yes, this is very simple, yet might do the job. Let's say you send your child to grade school with instructions that are not permitted to cuss and especially the f word. You child goes to school assuming this is the way it is in school, and is surprised to hear kids actually using the f word as well as other cuss words. They are confused, because they were told it is a no -no and not something that would be tolerated. They go home and tell their parent(s) what occurred and asked why.  As i said this is simplistic and i know no one here is a child and this is a sex site. Yet, when one is taught that a s-type is not to use that word, and you see it being used a lot, you could become confused, especially when still new to BDSM. Being the inquisitive type, i wanted to hear others' opinions. This thread was never intended to insult another, but to bring understanding. It does show a broad spectrum of what Doms' do approve and what they don't. I am not critiquing  any Dom here either, to each their own. I serve One and i do what is told. Now i understand this is not a broad concept held by every Dom. Each has their own preference.  I hope this helps to why i asked.

I. delight in words like fucktard,

It is a fun word, isn't it?

It really is, Lucienne, and it says so much too. I introduced the people I work with to it, and they love it as much as I do.

So, for anyone who is still reading, or who skipped to the end of the post, I have my own questions.  While many of the dominants have expressed that they don't care, or that they expect their submissive to be themselves, how would you submissives react if your dominant did expect you to conform to some standard in regards to language?  And how hard would it be for you to change, if it was so required?

I'd do it in an instance and wouldn't give it a second thought. Doing what he asks for is far more important to me than speaking a certain word.

A million light years from that moment, i have learned to not curse especially in using the F..word. I do find how it is used at times very disrespectful.

Personally, I find it quite cathartic and therapeutic to use it regularly. Master doesn't mind because He peppers His language with it occasionally as well[;)]. It's just something that doesn't offend either of us. Check out this link 'cuz it is hilarious!!!!!!!!!

How can you not love that word?[:D]

i whole heartedly agree with what you are saying here Aileen. Also one of the first things i learned from reading these message boards, is there truly isn't one true way. For as many couples as there are, there are that many variations of WIITWD, and i suppose that would include the language one chooses use.

What on earth does having a fucking foul mouth have to do with kink? Nothing.

My personal bend on cursing is not to do it. I use to talk like a truck driver and when late hubby and i moved in with each other, he threw a dictionary in front of me and said..educate yourself if you plan to be with me.

Educating yourself is good. I don't think education necessitates a profanity-free lifestyle, however. For many intellectuals a dense repertoire of profanity is simply a part of the vernacular. I fuckin' love that.

wisdomtogive -> RE: Re: cursing (12/12/2009 6:03:43 PM)

Thanks slaveluci..cool link

I do not hate the word and believe me i use to have it mastered very well. Now i am being  mastered, and it is not permitted for me to say. Holy Moses haven't been permitted to use that word for ages. lol..I have no problem with that. Many people cherished that word, heck once upon i time i did too. As i said i was not judging anyone, just curious.

Not addressing anyone in particular, the question on my mind has been there for a long time. I finally put my big girl panties on and figure just ask. I am glad i did...now:)

For those who relish in saying it and just feel the burning desire to usher it...do and do it well.:)..blessings all and thank you for your help:)

You make it sound like we just can't help ourselves we just have this compulsion to do it. TBH I really do think about it before I do it.

I have a request: could you please look over your words before posting.  Sometimes they are hard to understand due to interesting typos [:)]

ZephyrotheNorth
Yes, i will work on checking it better. Running into 2 problems, my laptop mouse seems to want to go where ever it wishes, and ends up on a different line, and the medication my Dr put me on, has made my eyesight fuzzy. This causes me to see the letters in a blurr.  This will pass though when medication adapts to my body. I can try to read what i have wrote a few more times prior to sending.

haha no

you were close :P

( curious what google translate makes of it )

afterforever -> RE: Re: cursing (12/13/2009 9:41:09 AM)

Don't speak Dutch, but my German is enough to know that ranja has pure pirate mouth. [8|]

I swear all the time when with my friends, censor it as appropriate in front of others. My ex never gave a damn whether I did or not, apart from when I was begging, when he seemed to enjoy it quite a lot. But if he had asked me to stop it, I definitely would have, no problems there. They are only words to me, and I'm sure I could find others to replace them.

lobodomslavery -> RE: Re: cursing (12/13/2009 9:48:07 AM)

People who don t have a friggin clue tend to curse, its bloody annoying, i mean for fuck sake why dont they get a bleeding education. As you can tell i have no time for frigging cursers
