ORIGINAL: stoshbig The body is incredibly resilient despite our best efforts to do it damage. And we damage it but there are a myriad of complex redundant systems that repair damaged tissue, muscle, bone, close off the broken blood vessels, (bruising you see) return leaked fluid to the blood, identify and destroy foreign bodies (antigens). That's what you're experiencing. As trauma occurs to tissue, the systems repair it, so they are continually reinforcing an area that is experiencing repeated trauma. thanks for your explanation quote:
I don't think mother nature or evolution took BDSM into account. that really made me laugh, thanks for that line I was just puzzled at that time as it looked far worse then when I was caned by him the first time a few years ago, but the first time did hurt for two weeks when I sat down, whereas now it looked much worse but did not hurt at all....just felt odd, thats why I asked to see if others have any ideas about it... The day after the night with him I went to my placement and didn't feel anything and the day after I did not dare to wear my jeans as I thought that must be far too painful to squeeze it into a jeans...so I chose to wear my smart trouser again at uni which I normally only wear for placement (as there we aren't allowed to wear jeans). But then at the evening I realised that there is no pain at all... I also read on the board that certain medication such as aspirin might worsen bruises and I took a lot of painkillers during the day before meeting him (my guess would be by 10-14 tablets) as my cold was killing me (that's at least how it felt like) and so that might have worsened the bruising on that occassion. I did show one study mate pics from my bruises the day after and when she realised that I truly enjoyed that session she had a dirty laugh, followed by saying "you are more sick then I ever thought...lol..."
