I certainly won't speak for Steven, but I can tell you that when I was looking, I discovered that trollstomping caused women to hit on me, in any forum. For example, in Ask a Mistress about a year ago, the much-missed Lynnxz and I were capping on a misogynistic snot, each of us trying to come up with funnier insults than the other. It was a great way to spend an evening, and the cherry on top was a letter I got from a poster I am sure you respect, saying she was impressed and attracted, and if I was ever interested in being sub, to please let her know. I've even had male posters disparagingly call me "Sir Galahad," because they didn't like how a man with a dom profile would defend women against statements made by other men with dom profiles.

Different people use the message board for different reasons -- and my own reasons have changed over time. But for most of my time here, I used it as a tool to meet people (especially single women) in real life. I'm busier now, and I feel less need to impress the opposite sex, so I'm writing less, and I'm ignoring trollposts completely.

Ok. Good point. But now both you and Steven have identified youselves as Doms here. So of course it's lovely to be flirted with by the opposite sex regardless of the side of the slash. I'm just saying that once I show up with my bamboo cane and 12" strap-on, the flirting usually stops ;-) (Note, but not always!!)

I do agree that this is an excellent way for a boy to get a Lady's attention. I just mostly expect it from Elan, Peon, Sea, PoliteSub... the good, strong boys!

Steven is a real sweetheart. He is in real life, as you see him here. Quiet, confident and open to conversation, no matter who is doing the talking. Even if the talker is a babbler of 6 months old

I am not at all surprised that he would be here trying to ward off any of the trolls who make the mistake of coming in here *s* Whatever his motivation is, I can assure you and everyone here that it is honest and above board. Not that I need to give him a refference, mind you

What is really great about DS... is that he is often very much nicer than I can be to the trollish types and informative as well. I've taken a bit of his example to heart, but it doesn't stick... I just can't manage to actually do it with most troll types.

Yeah, but what's a dom? Serious question. Part of my ladyfriend's "job" is to top me on a regular basis. I think it's awesome. I chose dom for my profile, because that's where I'm at psychologically -- if I ever marry, my wife's career will be subordinate to mine, for example -- but in terms of kink, I have had sexual chemistry with women of very different tastes. I've definitely enjoyed your avatar-drawings. Again, I'm not speaking for anyone but myself, but I have enjoyed much more my time with dommes and switches than with "true" subs, even though my sexual history is mostly as a top.

Why? I actually make about twice as much as my Lady does just due to the fields we are each in (technical writer vs. materials scientist). It all gets deposited into her checking account and she gives me an allowance. It would be ridiculous for me not to work to my full potential, because that salary benefits us both. Regardless of our kinks, we're a partnership, we have a farm and a mortgage and car payments and every penny counts.

Because I have set my eye on objectives that would change the future of science if I achieve them, and that is more important to me than any relationship. Perhaps you misunderstood my statement. At least half of the women I have dated have made more money than I do (or did at the time). I am attracted to strength and success, and I enjoy being around women who are successful and yet remain grounded. I'm not intimidated by intelligent, assertive women; I am drawn to them. So it's not an issue of money. It's how questions like, "What country are we going to live in?" or "Are we going to stay here or move?" will get answered. They'll be answered based on how best I think I can achieve my life goals.

Edited to add: I don't know you well enough to know whether I've dated a woman like you, Lady Angelika. I've dated a woman who is worth more than I will probably ever make in my life. She knew she would never find a guy who made more than she did, and so she was interested in dating men who were "not shallow" and seeing where it led. I really think notions of "leagues" (as in, "she's out of your league) are silly, and I don't look at people that way. Part of the reason we tried it out was that she had the resources to follow me anywhere in the world, without feeling a pinch. So I'm honestly not sure why you made your statement, unless you read something into it that I didn't intend.
