Nah...I would never take away your thunder. You seem to thrive on that kind of stuff and I wouldn't want to deny you that.
You're really good at projecting your thoughts onto others' words. Wildy inaccurate 99% of the time, but good at sounding like you know what the intent in a strangers brain is.
You've already made up your mind anyway and I really have no desire to clarify for you.
My posting history for the past four and a half years is clarification enough for me.
Have a nice day.

You know I am finding it interesting to see who is upset about what in this thread. I think some posters are focusing on things that were not ridiculed, such as "poor white trash". Did I miss something, but I did not see any jokes on that genre.

I think people are perhaps dragging in old wounds from other threads; I mean Domiguy has not mentioned those here unless I missed a page.

I think this has all been discussed to death.

Hmm since I commented on white trash maybe you are referring to my post? I comment on what I feel. It was mentioned in here about po white trash and I commented on it from my own subjective life. I am not, if you are referring to moi, dragging up wounds or whatever from other threads, I dont know the other threads and dont care either. If you arent referring to me, oh well.

If you think stuff has been discussed to death, that is your reality. For me, although I do like to come here, I dont read every thread and read what I am moved to read so this is not old for me at all.

Yes, even though I grew up onne south side , as soon as I was able, I moved to Linkin park. The rest is history.

I worked many games at Comiskey Park, inna stench from the stock yards wafting over the field. The only entertainment was the Biil Veeck era.

Yes, I love the Cubbies. The Cubbies are what baseball is all about. Goddamn the day they put lights in Wrigley Field.

Btw, I was there when da Bears played da Giants for da NFl title and Tittle got fucked up. It was a great day for da Second ( ha ha ) City.

Since you say you are offended by my comment, I can see that you are a sensitive soul ( read pussy ) and should remain on da south side.

Remember what happened to Dion O'Bannion and others when they ventured North.

Just as you thrive on protecting what's dear to you. "God Bless America", and all that kind of thing.

This is a message board, so we go by what we read. You object to my interpretation of what you said, yet you refuse to provide your version. Maybe I'm wrong, and you're just not very good at reading social signals. Perhaps you're just completely insensitive? Incidentally, there were about a dozen other posters who were as appalled by your comments as I was.

quote:

You've already made up your mind anyway and I really have no desire to clarify for you.

Now, who's mindreading  ? You're wrong: I would genuinely love to hear why you came up with these comments, and why you hammered them repeatedly, even in the light of others' consternation.

Indeed... Since you've taken it upon yourself to jump down my throat on more than one occasion, out of the blue and seemingly for no other rason than to pick a fight, I thought you wouldn't mind. You shat over something that is dear to me and you were told that. You chose how you reacted to that, too. In the end, we can't like everybody: on that subject, at least, we're even :-) .

~ Fast 'Going Too Far' Reply ~

Already loathed by many - I take a stab at going too far...

Many, me included, sent our regrets to a 'Linda' represented as the 'wife' of 'Spinner of Tails'.

Am I the only skeptic who had a hard time reconciling Linda's post to Spinner's profile? In his profile and continually documented in his journal, were many references to seeking a full time slave partner. Directly from his still active profile; "a full D/s relationship isn't the sort of thing that can be boiled down into a quick profile".

The guy says he's from New York, Brooklyn to be precise; so I wouldn't be surprised if the entire thing was made up and his 'death' was his exit strategy to fulfill a desire to see what people say and to draw one last burst of attention. Who knows - maybe soon we'll see Linda's profile, and she'll be looking for someone to fill that empty void in her life as a result of recent tragedy. The frequency of death and disease documented on many profiles defies any insurance actuarial table.

Why then did I send my regrets? Well first it didn't cost anything, and if a thread like this one wasn't started I would have let it go. However, I guess I have to put myself into the same category of sucker who sends sympathy cards into a soap opera after one of their characters is killed off on the show.

Too far? Why? I didn't know Spinner of Tails - I knew his CM character. I do regret that character is gone, if not the man. We had some great exchanges on the threads and directly. Rarely does my skepticism to "too far" usually it doesn't go far enough.

Going too far on race, disaster, nationality; the politically correct police need something to keep them occupied. Directed to me - my attitude is grateful to have such ignorance and bigotry exposed rather than hidden. However, sometimes a bit of levity isn't the worst thing to interject into a disaster, even one which affects you personally.

For example....

Knock! Knock!

No.  Like you, though, I saw no benefit to acting savvy and hard-boiled, and plenty of suffering I could potentially cause by doing so.  There are far more important things in life than never being "fooled" or "wrong."

-- the rest to posters in general, not directed to Merc --

I hope some of the posters on these boards are not misinterpreting Eleven's newfound forebearance for powerlessness.  We have an awfully large sandbox to play in now.  There is plenty of room for everyone to be FULLY INSIDE it.  If some poster constantly gets off on walking only on the very edge of the sandbox, saying, "Look at me, I can get away with anything" -- or if another poster has literally nothing to contribute to the site except for a tasteless "joke" on memorial threads to Holocaust heroes -- then I will shed no tears when the Mods punch that poster's one-way ticket to hell.

I have a Fetlife profile for exactly one reason.  I was dating a non-white woman, and she wanted to participate in a BDSM forum.  She tried it out here, because I was here, and she felt uncomfortable and out of place, in part because of her race.  So she went to Fet and started a profile and a group, and asked me to join her so she'd have a friendly face there.  I said yes, of course.  She has never posted here again.

I consider that the "wrong" reason to leave a site like this, but I certainly don't blame her, especially considering the insensitivity I've seen on this and other threads.  If your constant pushing of the bleeding edge of TOS is costing the site money, do you really think the powers that be are going to feel warm and snuggly about you?

Remember that the site is run by volunteers.  If you act like a motherfucking idiot, you cause lots of extra work for those volunteers -- and I really doubt they signed up to defend your personal assholosity.  Alpha's long post made it clear she hopes everyone is capable of acting like mature adults.  Try not to prove her wrong.

Divikitt?  What in the Hell is a divikitt?  Is it the cute new name for the union that is comprised of the individuals formery known as divi and kit'nsol?

Maybe some of kit's smarts might wear off on divi...If that happens I hope they both gain a pile of weight.

Lately, kit'n has not been her jovial self. Someone has pooed on her parade.

Poo parades are no fun.

Aileen, I was one of the posters who was offended by the jokes you and your partner were making.

As I wrote on this thread, while I found the jokes themself to be tasteless, especially in light of the subject of the thread they were made on, what got me most was that I felt those postings, at least the follow up ones after the first had received unfavourable responses, were made in a mean spirited way.

Now, postings on message boards are limited in what they convey of the intend of the poster, and if you feel I am doing you an injustice with my interpretation of what happened, I would very much like to hear your side of the story. As far as I know, we two have no history on this boards, and I would sincerely appreciate to hear your side of things.
