I disagree with this.  I think that it is part of a parents job to brainwash their children into their cuckoo beliefs. 

That said. . .

Forcing your child to spout dogma (or hold up placards) that puts them into positions that can be dangerous (having things thrown at you) is just wrong.

Status: offline 		 coI think it is a parents job to prepare their kids for a life out in the real world. I think children are really just on loan to us. I think all you can really do is give them a good education and good teeth..:)

I am the parent of a just turned 26 year old nurse with a BS from Loyola. She may just be the best person I know.

I believe that ignoring the idiots is the best revenge ... but still like the drag queen idea !!!

I believe, and try to practice, that parents should raise their children to be autonomous and critical thinkers. To help them grow into adults that ask questions, do research, and to finally come to their own conclusions.
Even if that means my children will will embrace a completely different cuckoo belief from my own.
I feel that only this will give children the abilities they need in a world that spins out wackos and new tinfoil theories by the day.

It is just one of my cukoo beliefs that it is the job of the parents to indoctrinate their children, not the school system, governement, or activist crowds.

Aylee, I think what we both are trying to say is not that far apart. In fact, if I put it as my belief, that we should indoctrinate our children to not be easily indoctrinated, we have reached common ground.

I believe that we are all on the same page.  With my original comment about it, I was being silly with the wording.  No harm no foul.  I added the second comment to make my first more sensible.  Have I now commented enough on comments as to be insensible?
