Glad to hear all went well with your flogger! I remember making my first leather flogger. I learned really quick that it takes time and practice to do it right, make it look the way you want and figure out different stuff that will look nice/feel nice, lol. I have made three rope floggers myself. All of my mine I used Nylon rope (because Master and I bought way too much to play with). The first one I made I kept white and is quite thick and has knots about half way down the strains and frayed at the ends. Which gives some nice little looks to my butt when some good wacks. The second one I made Is not quite as thick but all frayed. Master actually uses that one for "back rubs" for me, quiet relaxing! And the third one is at the dump some place because it was the first time I tried dyeing the rope back when we had a room mate and he was quite nosey. And its not very easy trying to come up with a reason for dyeing rope, so I screwed it up. But one thing I will say about dying the rope is that if the rope is twisted when you dye it, and then you untwist it later, any place where the rope was "covered" in the twists will be mainly white and not dyed. Have fun with future projects and can't wait to see pictures!!! I will see what I can do about getting pictures of my two up. I am actually working on another, maybe I can sneak that in a picture too, depending on how fast I can do it.
