our modern version of a bra was originally designed to flatten the breasts into a mono-bosom--- the fashion of the day was straight lines, and society couldn't bear to even think about breasts, much less see them defined under clothing.
Society's concept of the "ideal" breasts are breasts that would remain in their firm, uplifted attitude, on their own, for our entire lives. Advertising and messages in today's media have done a good job of convincing us of that myth, and the myth that breasts will sag unless we "properly support" them. The point to remember is that they will assume a more relaxed, adult position whether they are supported OR NOT! Some breasts never seem to reach that lower, relaxed position, even into a woman's sixth decade of life. This phenomenon is not a result of constant bra usage. Bras will not prevent that from happening.
Wearing a bra may be cancer causing "breast abuse".

this slave feels your pain...she also has hormonal issues that cause engorgement and severe pain, for weeks at a time. even lifting her arms during that time is painful. Victoria's Secret used to have a sportsbra called the Aftershock that was good for holding icy-cold gel packs in place for a little relief, but they no longer have them.
