I really don't want this to turn into a fight thread, so please don't think I'm being rude or accusatory. I'm simply curious about this. I've known a few dominant women who really, really hate dominant men. They think it's stupid and have zero respect for those men or the women who submit to them, and I've been subjected to a few scoffing remarks from Dommes who know I'm bi, and are disgusted by my choice to submit to a man rather than a woman. (As it so happens, I chose to submit to the love of my life, his gender has nothing to do with it and he knows this.) So...I have to ask. Dommes, what are your personal views on gender and dominance, and what's your personal reaction to seeing a couple in which the male is the dominant partner? Please, please, people, don't get offended or angry. I'm just curious.

Really, really, really not fussed-I believe in people getting what they want, as far as is practical. Some male doms creep me out, but that's because they are creepy, not because they are male.

XD yeah, well, a lot of people who profess themselves to be dominant are fairly creepy and just wanna have sex with someone who won't say no. A lot of 'em creep me out, too. Male and female alike. XP

In My opinion, gender has very little to do with dominance. It absolutely has more to do with the individual. I don't have a reaction to Dom/sub couples. Not anymore than I have to vanilla couples, M/m couples, F/f couples, or any other pairing out there.

As long as everyone is happy, I don't really care what their dynamic is. It may not be my thing, but I am happy they are happy. Doms and subs that leap to my mind are Mercnbeth and Aquasub and Valerian. (I really hope I spelled their names right.) Lady

I've seen this work both ways. There are MANY male dominants who are quite belittling and hostile toward female dominants and toward those who submit to female dominants. Hopefully the scoffing is easy to ignore :)

I cannot judge a male for being dominant, so long as he is ethically so. I believe that our souls crave certain dynamics because of who we are, how we were brought up, events in ours pasts, and what we need to learn. I cannot fathom being subject to dominant arrogance and condescension (which some women find dead sexy), unreciprocated blowjobs, anal sex with me on the wrong end of it, sharing a man with others and doing all the housework, but if some other female can, she is a far more generous being than I. Maybe in my next life I'll be that evolved, but not this time around. I'm sure not all maledom relationships are like this, but its what I picture. So long as a dominant man respects my position, I am happy to be friends and interact socially with him and his girl. Some of my best friends are male dominants. Really !

Let me chime in here. I will take a stand. This might come as a surprise to many you, but I really don't dig the majority of the dommes on the hole. I was actually thinking about starting a similiar thread. It would have been something on the lines of...... "Why are so many dommes such twats?" Maybe?...Who knows it was a work in progress. There are scores of Douchebag Doms...That was going to be my screen name but alas it was taken. However, when it comes to the forums why is it that the majority of the dommes seem to lack any form of a good sense of humor or seem to enjoy any form of self deprication? It's a dog eat dog world out there and I realize that so many male subbies are considered to be nothing more than dachshunds...But even weiner dogs need love too. Maybe the ability to lighten up is perceived as being weak. Or maybe it is tough to extort dollars from the weiner dogs if you come across as being almost human. Who knows? I enjoy the company of people that fly by the seat of their pants don't take them selves overly serious and have a zeal for life and not every fucking thing is life and death. Lighten up Francis.

I will be honest, before I got to know more people in defined power exchange relationships, I had a skewed point of view. Very few men do I have much respect for and I had an idealistic view of dominant women. Since then, I've become friends with some really decent dominant men, learned a lot and become friends with hetro submissive women and seen a lot of dominant women in a less than flattering light. So I don't really see one being better than the other. I just see individuals. Some I like and others........not so much so.

Their end of the pool is mighty fucking shallow. I do realize that there are more Doms than Dommes who frequent this here thang...But those dommes that seem to be at all well rounded, have the slightest inkling to show that they possess a sense of humor and don't always have their tiger skin thongs all up in a bundle are few and unfortunately far between.

Through the dollars of the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act of 2009...Iowa has set aside some considerable dollars for the rebuilding of it's infrastructure.... Your tiger skin undies were a top priority...Seemed the elastic as well as the cotton panel had deteriorated rapidly under the continual pressure and abnormal wear and tear.
