You have yet to produce any positive proof on your theories of what is abusive.  When you can do so, other than your own 'observations', is when I will gladly read any verifiable source that you can post.  Other than that, your theory does not match My life experiences.

I hold nothing against you for your personal belief that love must be intertwined with BDSM, sex, or both.  When a person is not the object of lust, love is needed in the equation for someone to want to interact with them intimately.  Otherwise, there is no drive.  When I get to be your age and should I be alone, I may feel the very same way about it.    Lacking those attributes that inspire lust, you'd have to rely that those urges would come should someone actually love you.

Ahhh..here's the crux.

With all your talk about love and lust, I noticed that desire and affection wasn't even mentioned. Yet desire and affection is also part of love and a part of lust. The fact is we humans define our own individual definitions to what love/lust/desire/affection is according to our individual perceptions.

It is all fine and dandy to spout the virtues of love over lust yet you can not ignore both have their negative counterparts and both can lead to negative consequences too.

People have killed others in the name of love
Love can drive a person to be insanely obsessed with another
love can drive a person to suicide.
love can manipulate another into doing inhumane actions.
Lust can also do the same.
Lust can also start the healing process in teaching a person they have the ability to care/desire/love another person.

So as you can see love and lust wears many different masks and it's a wise person who has gained the ability to distinguish when it is or isn't appropriate to act upon them. Now this is what I learned in the past quarter century. The thing is: all I learned in the past 49 years has been learned for my benefit, not yours, not LadyP's or anyone else but for me only. It is too bloody sad that some can't understand that.
