I get the impression that you are looking for a woman that, because she is submissive, will be a doormat for YOU. And, while I'm not saying there are not women out there with no self-esteem or self-respect that would be candidates, it's a very narrow view of submissives in general. The vast majority of submissives I know (myself included) are NOT doormats, and would never submit to anyone who thought we were, or should be. Where is the power exchange dynamic if the sub is a doormat? What do doormats have worth surrendering? Nothing. No power exchange there at all.

I've noticed a few comments that seemed to point in that direction.

Now you may not find that to be "attacking", but just because it isn't leveled at a particular person doesn't mean that it isn't an attempt to be insulting to an entire group of people posting here... and he does it to get a reaction.. it is like putting a "kick me" sign on his back and expecting no one to kick

Passive Aggression is seldom rewarded here either. When someone posts something stupid, there are two courses of action.

Rethink and retract, or go full speed ahead. osf has never rethought or retracted.

It amazes me how the OP ever has had or ever will have a submissive of his own. He obviously has a very low opinion of the entire group, but then with questions like these, it seems he has a very low opinion of the intelligence of Dominants as well. All any potential s-type would ever have to do to is look at his posting history and he is out of luck. Any s-type with a brain would walk away then and there. Oh, maybe that is why he has such a low opinion of s-types, he can't attract one that has a brain.

Not really.

It's only perceived as an attack by submissives who view the word "doormat" in a derogatory way. And, even then, it's not an "attack", it's just a fallacious point of view (depending on how the words are defined).

And, most of us are forum veterans here. Accusing osf of dropping flame-bait is like accusing domi of being rude. It should be understood that the existence of those things is expected and that you need to dig through the modus operandi to get to whatever interesting point(s) underneath you may wish to discuss.

It's either factual or it isn't. I'm still suspecting that the degree to which one finds his comments offensive is due to the degree that a) one is not familiar with his style of posting, or b) one has a disproportionally negative view of 'doormats' (as a contextual title in WIITWD).

I understand where you are coming from, I do. But, I can't muster enough concern for osf's opinion to be offended by it. I find it misinformed- and a sweeping generalization that portrays very wishful thinking on his part. But, then again, he's a self proclaimed misogynist; so...pretty much what one should expect from a guy that does not like women, is looking to turn a woman into something she never wanted to become, and seems to feel at least somewhat entitled to do that.
