V,

Tell me again why you live in Texas?  lol, are you ever gonna move to the United States?  We'd love to have you.

fergus

*laughs* well I love being had... er.. *laughs*

And why not live in Texas?

I will admit that I loathed it at first, but Austin isn't too bad of a place to live.  I wouldn't mind moving back to Chicago sometime though.

As far as getting me to live in "reality".. well I have my own "reality" I like to live in, it requires rose colored glasses.  Feel free to join me. The more the merrier

Yee Haw Texas! I love Texas! I'd move back there today if I could! Especially Austin :) All that leather? All those whips and cowboys and cowgirls? Gotta love it!

I wasn't sure who to repsond to first, so I'm responding to the general way the conversation has led.

While no one has been outright rude to me about being a switch, I've notcied a general biased against switches in every community I've been part of. I've had Dom/me's that have outright told me, "I don't play with switches". Some list the reason that they don't want any confusion. Others say they wouldn't want to see their subbie being Dominant in any way. Others still assume that you want to switch with them (And that goes for both Dom/mes and subs).

I've been tempted to hide the fact that I'm a switch in the past, but that wouldn't get me anywhere. I am what I am, etc.

Long live the revolution!! ;)

It takes some self knowledge to acknowledge that you are a switch. . .

Hence all the questions about, "Am I a switch?"

And once you have that self-knowledge, the other angsty questions that wind up in "Ask-a-Master / Ask-a-Sub / Ask-a-Mistress" fall away.

And Devidasi, I call it "play" as well.

What we need is another party. . .  Fergus . . .

It has been noted that this board does not have the fighting and negative posting that other boards on CM has. . . well it is because switches have looked at themselves and can check their egos at the door.

It is too early in the morning and the painters are playing their rap. . . gotta go shoot a radio. . .

Best,

LaMalinche

BTW Fergus, when is the next party?

Ummm. . . NO.  It is not.

I am both.  Bisexual - I likey both Guys and Gals.  Switch - I likey both giving and receiving pain and other things.  Not the same.

However if you mean being on the fringes of a community. . . NO again.  Bi-sexuals are way more recognized than switches.

Want more info. . . ?  Catch me on the flip side.

I am a switch and proud of it.  Stating that let me give you back ground information on myself.  I was ALWAYS intrigued (ok I know I can't spell so sue me) by BDSM and D/s, but never thought I could be submissive because I am such a strong willed woman.  I also thought I could never be a Domme because I just couldn't see myself having "complete" control over someone else esp. a male.  I was also fooled by a lot of the stero types that the public has now a days (that's a whole other rant there).  I met my Lord DarkMasque in an Atlanta chat room one day.  We started chatting as friends first and I found out more about the lifestyle and that it's not all about this or that.  He knew I was bi from the beginning of our friendship (which eventually led to something stronger obviously and I became his submissive).   When we decided it was time to start searching for a female partner for me we realized that it was better to find another submissive for our house.  During this search my Domme tendancies towards women surfaced.  It is wonderful to have a Dom who is understanding both of my needs as a Bisexual woman and Domme tendancies towards women.  That's about as best I can "break" it down for people who "need" black and white.  I'm submissive to Lord DarkMasque and LordDarkMasque alone and Domme towards women, esp the right one.  There's my 2 cents worth.

*throws Fergus a duel purpose life line*

As for the party, why not have a nice little pool party? Skinny Dipping, and if someone starts "drown" we can always do some CPR. :)

Nope... Switching is about duality and being able to embrace both the light and the darkness.  Bisexuals are just greedy

Realizing I was a Switch filled in so many blanks...I have many local sub girls that I absolutely love to Dominate, flog, cage, etc. We have a great time and "I earned some respect for My Art", Most of the year I Dominate them and all is well in the world...BUT there is this ONE Goddess that "i" worship totally the times We get together. She knows i am in that State for the sole purpose of being HERS 24/7 for the entire time We have.  She loves that i drive or fly 1200 miles to grovel at Her Feet.  A week after I return I will be once again flogging and Disciplining and practicing what "i" learned.

As a dominant, I find the concept of beina switch difficult to grasp, at best.  It's somewhat similar, to me, to asking a painter to write a book.  Both can very artistic and emotionally fulfilling way to express who and what you are, but paint a picture with paints and brushes is a world's difference from painting with words.

I don't grasp how someone can be dominant and yet be submissive.  The only time I am submissive is when it comes to my job, but then again, I was hired to do a job to the expectations of my boss, so I don't know if that really counts or not.  But, then again, that is why I am here, to at least attempt to better understand other people.

Yes you were there. . . it was at your place. . . fastlane tried to throw himself out of a first story window. . . we had crunchy peanut butter, chocolate, and marshmallow fluff, and Bitatruble kept stealing and giving away other's Resse Cups.

How is your memory now?

It is time for another one. . .

So. . . when is it?

Yeah, yeah, I had to take over host duties for you, in letting people in. . . but then again why have switches around if not for this mundane stuff.

So?  Who wants to come to fergus's place?  I can pull the Twister mat out again and get the lube and other stuff.

Reese Cups anyone?

Come on. . . Bitatruble will feed them to you. . . (and NO notebook this time). . . if you treat her "nicely".

Best,

LaMalinche
