So you come here to vent and that was quite the vent... and then expect us to have a knee jerk reaction? Does any reaction that isn't patting you on the head fit into your angry catogory of knee jerk reaction? Is there an answer that wouldn't be a knee jerk reaction in your mind?

You are pissed and pissed at the world. You think we all haven't said or felt some of that at some point? You are not special... we all get mail like that. We all might vent in a journal or something, but darlin, you just vomited anger all over the place and then seemed to assume what our reactions would be and not in the best light. You expected bad and basically felt your point proven before we even spoke. Then again, what is someone supposed to say when someone acts like you have?

How's that type of communication working for you? There are idiot's out there... a world full of them. But what is worse? Someone asking sexual questions or someone venting at you (an innocent party) and then knowing what your response will be and using it as another way to vent or slam dunk them?

I'll take the guys asking what position is my favorite, at least they don't answer for me and I can roll my eyes and laugh. With you, I just want to dunk you in ice cold water. You are yelling at the wrong people. We didn't do it to you.

I'm equally dissilusioned by the "true subs and slaves" on here who think Dominants are nothing more than props for thier silly fantasies guy. So I guess I don't have a lot of sympathy for this sort of rant-since they pull the same shit they whine about.

Your post kind of amounts to "People are jerks someone please prove me wrong!@" Like all tantrums, it's half righteous rage, and half cry for attention.

It's like a fairytale princess who constantly wanders around in ogre infested forests and then yells for a white knight to for the love of God come save her.

I mean, I don't really have a horse in the race of "You vs the World," so if it's an effective ploy for you then, you know, awesome, I guess. Typically, the result of tantrums like this is to attract even more boorish abuse, and perhaps a couple of ultimately ineffectual "nice guy" type replies (there is no greater recipe for awkward misery than to be suckered in by the "nice guys").

Also, when you fly off the handle, you tend to empower precisely the people you've just finished complaining about, who can now see that they've provoked an unhappy reaction from you. So you've inadvertently given them some measure of satisfaction.

I can't really commiserate at all here. I don't get much in the way of spammy or outright scammy mail. I don't get grotesque individuals that make my skin crawl...often anyway. When I was looking, I didn't have a problem. While I haven't been looking, it hasn't been a problem.  The people I have met are very much able to balance their kink and their lives outside of it. I happen to be into some....interesting things....so very little shocks me or upsets me. You talk about other people's kinks and perversions as though all of yours would be perfectly acceptable to someone else. I may or may not be into some of the things you mentioned, but honestly, it's a kink site and we kinda have to be upfront with each other and especially if we are into anything that people typically find shocking.

Let me tell you what I have found here. I have found lifelong friends. I have found someone that hopefully is becoming someone very special and significant in my life. I have found someone who already IS that special to me. These people treat me not only as human, but as a treasured part of their lives. I am blessed to have them in my life and I met every single one of them right here. Not on any other site. I met them right here on CM. They are out there.

My question to the OP would be, are YOU the kind of person that will draw the good and quality people to you? How have you presented yourself? We have to market well and strategically. We want to deter the idiots and attract the target audience. I have had the occasional meltdown around here too. It is usually about something else entirely, so I am not going to go hard on how you are presenting yourself at this time, but just keep in mind that absolutely everything you put out here on the site reflects upon you. People can read every post on these boards, every journal entry, every interest you check off on that list, and so much more. Be careful what you are putting out there. It just may make what you are trying to accomplish that much harder. Good luck!

Well.. Thanks everyone for your opinions.. My points are valid to me, and I am not putting anyone down for their kinks.. I have them, and love them. I listened to the advice from @lovingpet and @lockit.. and yes lockit I did vomit.. allll over this site. I am a pretty girl, you cant see that because my profile is hidden and will be deleted in a few days after I am all done with this vent, but yes, I am pretty and I think that because of it, I get Dom's that want to possess instead of interact. YES, I vomited all of the rediculous bullshit that I have heard and seen on this site and in this lifestyle. I am feed up with it. I want to thank @Smutmonger and @kana for their support. I am glad that a few that answered me have found good situations and are happy.. congratulations.

I get put off by the general bs in places like this as well-but I just block people who bother me. But every once, in a while I meet someone fun and interesting-which would never happen if I could not just laugh and hit a few buttons.

Well that was quite a rant and I'm not going to deny that I understand all the feelings and emotions behind it, having experienced them myself but...

What were you really expecting here? Yes I can understand that you can be new here but this sort of thing isn't 'just' a lifestyle thing or concerning dominants, it's also out there in society and anyone can be an idiot. There's a learning curve too and it's not rocket science that either some people misrepresent themselves or have got the wrong idea (to you and me) over what all this is about. But if it works for them and they're happy with what they're doing, what difference does it really make to you or me?

The way I see it I'm assuming that you're looking for one person for a relationship. There's literally hundreds of thousands of people with profiles on this site. This suggests to me that there's hundreds of thousands of people here who would be unsuitable for a relationship, and perhaps only a handful who you would consider for friendship or worth meeting, and maybe out of that only one or two you might like to take things further.

The way I see it there's reason and motivation for everything, and I can't help but wonder whether (a) the way you've been communicating with potential doms has somehow contributed to the way they respond, (b) whether your expectations of 'people' or of the response from this site is a little too high or (c) you are being overly sensitive. I may be wrong of course but these are some of the things going through my mind right now as i write this.

But maybe getting all upset and angry isn't quite the best reaction. I know it's tempting when yet another div contacts you but it's not so much how they treat you that's important but how you react - and you are in full control of your reactions, not them. You see if you get angry, rant and rage, and then delete your profile, you then go elsewhere and you will find the same (trust me) and then what? You're letting them win, and you're losing each time.

Look at it this way, some of us are serious about meeting people, others are here to provide the entertainment and this is the attraction of the site - so many idiots come here on a regular basis to provide the rest of us with entertainment. I mean, would BDSM be as much fun or a learning experience without such idiots? Looking at things this way is more entertaining, it makes those gaps between serious potentials so much more tolerable.

But point taken.. and a pretty decent rant.
