Can any veteran tell me please how dangerous it is for an American to be sent to Afghanistan at the moment ? Is it not dangerous, dangerous or very dangerous ? And are there any good advices of how to protect him ?
Thanks in advance for an answer from someone who has really been there.

Angelsmile

I have seen some daft questions but this on is up with the best of them.

Its a war zone, with bombs and shit, class it as extremely dangerous.

OWNED!

Funny as shit, thanks for making my day.

What's even more daft is that she's alienating the people on this board who could really answer her question. And when a veteran does answer her, she knocks the advice down.

Well what I find interesting is that you came here with the spirit of providing people with an inside scoop and some, in return, gave you nothing but poop.

You are sticking through it like a true soldier ;-)

You have this interesting technique...
Every question you do not want to answer you call it a red hearing.
Maybe that works for you but to those who read your drivel it is just more proof that you
are nothing more than an apologist for the war in the sandbox and your opinions are just that...
opinions.

Negative. You, and others like you, tend to shift the topic rather than admit that you don't have an argument. You have your opinion on something gets demolished, so instead of recognizing that you're wrong, you shift the topic to something else. This "something else" tends to have nothing to do with what we're arguing about.

I refuse to play that kind of game; consequently I force the topic back on track.

Perhaps in your world that is how you see it.
Rational people see you as plastering the board with bullshit and refusing to actually answer questions which your op says you will.

I'm going to answer things that have to do with the debate, and I'm going to skip over things that have nothing to do with the debate, or with your attempts to change the subject.

No you skip over questions you find difficult or impossible to answer so instead you wrap yourself in red white and blue nonsense and expect us to think you actually know what you are talking about.

Your last sentences give your, and your battle's, true intentions away. You'll dismiss FACTS about the war as nothing but "opinions," apologist comments for the war, etc to sooth your egos. This is an example of what I mean by setting up stress shields.

Your "facts" are half truths and whole lies...nothing but propaganda. If you had the balls that god gave a girl scout you would answer the questions put to you. Kinda like ann coulter who substitutes vituperative verbage for discussion.

Can't have a little thing like the facts get into the way of our daydreams now, can't we?

When you use a double negative in english it reverses the meaning of your statement that is why it is gramatically incorrect. Your little freudian slip is noted.

He came here to only talk about his own skewed visions.....The poop is what he is full of.

One way to tell is look at the length of his posts compared to those that he is debating....General rule. Te one that uses the most words loses. it's a way of hiding your bullshit in more and more bullshit.

The op is a worthless fuck. I don't think he has ever served. If by some odd chance he isn't on awol or a young gal, I would like to know when he returns? I personally can't wait.

I did, in fact, give you answers.  You just did not like them.  What kind of answers were you wanting?

There must have been SOMETHING that you were hoping for?

Knitting a special sweater maybe?

Sorry babe, it just does not work that way.

Be thankful that this is not a repeat of the so-called American Civil War.

HFC, I jumped in here at post 198 because this is getting out of hand. My eyes are watering from looking at the screen so much !

Each Man sees the world and events through his own perspective. I am not accusing you of slanting anything, but anyone sane knows that none of us are omnipotent. Much as some try, none can see from all perspectives. The points on which we disagree are most likely due to that, not some prevarication or hidden agenda at all.

Real and Hunky and I do agree on some things, but I think they lack the ability to express it properly. Those of us who are willing to fight against the erosion of our rights by the government are not all crazoids. I've seen it go both ways here.

Now we have a long history of discussion about Kerry, and I don't recall hearing about him being in Iraq. If he was he was certainly not in the warfare. I think it pointless to discuss his record or anything else in this venue. He did what he did, and you did what you did.

You came willing to offer some firsthand observations about this particular issue and look what happened. All this digression makes people lose focus. And to make the world better, that is a bad thing.

But though I am not against you in any way I am still firmly against the war. We do not belong there and never did. All this terrorist shit started in 1948. We would never back down. What we have in the middle east now since the creation of Israel is Palestinians are like the Native People here. Got put off and subjected. Nobody likes that. What happened here in the 1700s is no better or worse. The difference is that we live in the communication age. In the 1700s when this country was founded nobody gave a shit what was happening in Iraq, which I think did not even exist yet, but I'm not sure on that.

Think of a similar hypothetical situation. The Natives here in the 1700s were slaughtered, It was war, and once we taught them how to scalp people they took to it. War cannot be changed in nature, though they try to change it in severity. One of my points is that I think this is wrong because it ultimately winds up causing more human suffering. One irrefutable fact is that the dead are not bleeding, starving, freezing or burning. Sure their body might, but they are no longer in it.

I percieve you by your posts to have a very focused mind. But on what ? They have convinced you that serving is duty, that going ½ way around the planet and killing people is helping your country, your kinsmen, your neighbors. I won't even argue that point because at this point in history it is probably true. But why ?

Well it is that way because we have been meddling in their affairs for about sixty years or so, and counting. They don't like it. If, in the beginning we had taken a different approach they would be our allies, in heart, not by the sword. You see, when you got to Iraq you didn't necessarily see who was right, you saw who was left.

But my opposition to the war is that for whatever reason, we don't belong there. I don't care if they are burning homosexuals, Jews, even Polaks like me. We should have the common sense not to go there then. But the US Constitution is the law of THIS land not THEIR'S. That is my basis for objection.

If you want to go farther back, well past the Balour Declaration, we didn't belong in WW1 or WW2. Even WW1 nobody attacked us. Before WW2 we had no business blockading and whatever else we did to Japan before Pearl Harbor got erased. It is NOT persuant to the law of this land.

Our actions are those of empire builders, conquerers, exploiters. Now don't take me as a pacifist. No way. If you come to my house and threaten, or whatever, you will eat lead and I won't lose a minute's sleep over it. But I will not come there and threaten you, nor will I exploit or whatever. Thus we would have no problems with one another and could simply coexist as neighbors correct ?

Such as that is, so should it be with nations. Just mutual respect however basic and trade. If the Constitution had been adhered to, we would probably agree on gold as a medium of exchange, there would be no IMF and a whole lot of other things. There is no way in hell the UN building belongs on US soil while the whitehouse is not. This is a ridiculous situation. And the US is the biggest busybody in the world.

Hey, there might be someone 20 miles away who is beating their Wife. I have to go make sure if that's true and of course intervene. How should I start ? Which road do I go down, where is the house ?

So given that, the way I see it we should not be there. Those enemies were not born, they were made.

This is plenty long enough now, I have to work tomorrow. Mail me if you would like. When are you going back ? (remember I jumped in at 197)  You should be able to get to CM from Iraq if you can get the internet, or can't you ?

T

When you are out there "Americanizing" people do you tax them like crazy and scalp their penises?

I guess if you are only Americanizing muslim countries your job is already done for you.

I forget, what exactly are you doing in Iraq again???????????????????

The Iraqi government taxes the Iraqi people; we don't tax them. Muslim countries aren't the only ones that are westernizing, so are other countries around the world. I told you where to find the post that I made that talks about what we're doing in Iraq.

Do you enjoy the smell of depleted uranium in the morning?

I guess the Iraquis do, maybe that is why they love American occupation.

Did you know that your excess military depleted uranium is being dumped on UTAH.

Hey the mormons cut their children too so we might as well let them share in Gods excesses.

I hear depleated uranium makes beautiful children for god's people.

We don't use depleted uranium. Iraq smells like a typical third world country. They love our presence because of what we've done for them. Many are apprehensive about our pending departure, but that's understandable. Our departure is going to represent a major change for them, they're going to experience something the vast majority have never experienced in their life... being in full control of their internal and external destiny. What we're doing there now can no longer be described as an occupation. We're just a presence, with the Iraqi Army and Police doing the security related work. The kids that I saw in Iraq were normal.

No i don't think the American's plan to cut and run.

They plan to cut and STAY until every penny is sucked out of every possible pocket and put to the Jewish holy reunion planned for in Israel.

The treaty calls for us to depart Iraq. If we keep elements there after the departure date, it'll the result of a new treaty with Iraq... it's something the Iraqis are going to have to request. But, even if we keep a presence in Iraq, what's the big deal? I don't hear you people complaining about our presence in Cuba, where' we've had a troop presence for the past 112 years. Again, we're not making money from the Iraqi citizen... the Iraqi government taxes the Iraqis, we don't.

So you have never heard this mindless cunt call anyone names. Obvioulsly you do not get out much.
ROFLMAO

Obviously, you like to pull things out of your arse about what other people have heard or not heard.

Yes, she has mentioned conservatives lobbing insults... but she notes a difference. She noted that conservatives will insult you while making a point. Liberals would insult you as the sole point that they're making.

You do realize that you don't need to leave your home to get that information, do you? So your comment makes no logical sense.

Is there a crime in that too?

WHATT?? You want to behead me??? You wanna cut off my clit like they do to Muslim women???? FUCK YOU.

I have a zero tolerance policy for people who abuse their children and their women.

You are an ass and an assult on HUMANITY and YOU should be shot!

I am loading my gun now..... RUN TO IRAQ RABBIT!!!!!!

Is this your attempt to uphold, to the best of your ability, your actions to maintain human integrity? What you said: "I believe in maintaining HUMAN integrity." - belladevine.

From dictionary.com: Integrity: adherence to moral and ethical principles; soundness of moral character; honesty

What you said in the same post: "WAR is in direct conflict with my beliefs." -belladevine

If war was in direct conflict with your beliefs, then you wouldn't be engaging in anything that even remotely resembles it in concept. We may not be firing rounds at each other on this thread, but we're firing words back and forth. Online debate is one way go at each other... war is another.

If war is in direct conflict of your beliefs, you wouldn't be on here debating on this, or any other thread. If human integrity is something that you strongly believe in, then you wouldn't be engaging in verbal abuse:

"I have a zero tolerance policy for people who abuse their children and their women." -belladevine

If you believe in maintaining human integrity, then you'd have zero tolerance for yourself.

Your red white and blue type is very amusing.

Red White and Blue makes a monkey out of YOU. oooo rah!

I guess that is how they teach creative writing in Iraq.

What is the message that you are actually trying to share with the lucky readers of the collarme forum? It is so sad for the poor Iraquis that they can't actually read and so we (americans) should provide the Iraquis with crayons?

One, it's Hoorah, Urah, etc, not oooo rah! Two, if you intended that for me, then it's hooah. How do you want your banana? I didn't deploy to Iraq to learn creative writing. As for the message that I'm sending, all you have to do is read this thread. Literacy rate in Iraq may be low, but you don't correct that problem by giving them crayons.

That's all they have inside of them, "poop." And they like to throw it around, constantly proving what Ann Coulter says about them.

They can't handle the fact that my observations, and knowledge, on Iraq doesn't fit their worldview. They saw this thread's title and clicked on it, motivated by curiosity. A side of them was looking for confirmation on their opinions about Iraq. They didn't find it.

Given that most the posters arguing against me have an abundance of pride, they couldn't easily accept my message. Instead of letting their "intellect" guide their action, their ego took over to set up stress shields. Their common sense tells them that I've been to Iraq, so I know what I'm talking about with regards to how things are going over there. Their intellect tells them to re-evaluate their stance on Iraq based on my first hand observations. Their ego, on the other hand, holds hard to discredited beliefs, and refuses to give those beliefs up.

For them, ego holds the veto power. They set stress shields up.

They try to diminish my experience by attacking me, and my message. They try to dismiss it as "opinion," and me as a "liar," intending to "spread" an agenda. They're doing this because they're trying to convince themselves that they can't be wrong! The only way to do that is to dismiss me, and throw poop in my direction. Reminds me of a bunch of monkey's in the jungle when they're threatened.

And that's what's happening here, my observations threaten their tightly/desperately held beliefs on Iraq. I represent a threat to them in this regard, so they're trying to throw poop at me to chase me away monkey style.

If I were writing a dissertation on human nature as it relates to evolution, I would've referenced this thread as part of my field research.

Are all liberals like this? NO. The problem with these guys is that they don't even know how to be liberals. If they support free speech, they're certainly not demonstrating that belief on this thread.
