Hows the DU situation and all those iraqi birth defects as a result of it doing?

What ever happened to those british doods thatdressed up as muslims and posed as insurgents and attacked that village?

Oh yeh and how about blackwater?  Still target practicing on little kids?

Speaking of which what ever happened the americans that gunned down those kids in that van and the reporters that were strolling along nanchalantly minding their own buisness?

America won the Iraq War with a straight cut victory. In fact, on the flight from Kuwait to Germany, I overheard a fellow infantryman joke about how he was "safe enough" to hitch a ride into Kuwait. Outside the occasional mortar fire, IED attempt, etc, it's mostly peace time there.

We've accomplished what we came here to do... set up a government that can govern, and a military/police force that could provide security for the people... and enforce its laws. The Iraqis are more than willing, and capable, of taking control. Iraq is willingly westernizing.

Prospects for us leaving are pretty good.

It's still sovereign. The vast majority of the Iraqi people supported/support our efforts. In fact, insurgency doesn't come anywhere close to describing our moving targets. The more accurate term for them is "Anti Iraqi Force," as they're against the will of the Iraqi population. Till this day, we still get honks of approval when we do our dismounted patrols, and a thumbs up from pedestrians when we do our mounted patrols.

The Iraqi children that I saw, and interacted with, were healthy and normal. They just got to get used to the idea that we're not going to throw candy at them anymore.

The incidents that you mention are questionable. We had no such incidents in our AO (adjacent to Al Anbar province). Keep in mind that the media doesn't see as much as Iraq as the rest of us do, and their reporting is extremely "selective."

For instance, the bit about the reporters that got shot. They didn't follow proper procedures they weren't minding their own business, they were being stupid. The service members that shot them did so based on the circumstances... they had the appearance of having weapons.

Understand that out there, out in sector, you don't have the convenience that you do sitting at home. You're in an environment where people want you dead. You have to act accordingly. Westerners and media, that are out there, are briefed on what they should do when going out there, and interacting with coalition forces. Some of them simply don't do the smart things.

Doing my best to counter media propaganda against the Iraq War, as well as their silence on how things are really going there, using recent first hand experience.

The political situation (bilateral treaty with Iraq) and logistics. Believe it or not, Iraq's higher ups have tried to slow things down, and keep outposts open, we we were working to shut them down. On the question of logistics, there's alot involved. We can't just up and come back. We still have to do a phased withdrawal. Especially now that the Anti Iraqi Forces are testing the Iraqis that are taking over from us. So far, so good.

Still sovereign?  who are you trying to kid aside from yourself?

The iraqi children that you saw?  ok nice qualifier to say all is well when you dont know.

Unfortunately this board wont allow me to post the pics of the brains falling out of some poor babies head and eyes the size of tennis balls because some perv will probly jerk to it so I cant show you up close and personal.

Shall we talk about all the vets with DU poisoning (aka gulf syndrome), from the original theater?  The ones who cannot nor can their wives/girlfriends give blood due to exposure or are you going to evade that one with a you did not see any of those people either?

For instance, the bit about the reporters that got shot. They didn't follow proper procedures they weren't minding their own business, they were being stupid. The service members that shot them did so based on the circumstances... they had the appearance of having weapons.

So just blow them the fuck away eh?  Because they didnt follow some fucking rule?  No harm no foul, no hard feelings just business as usual right?

Even on that shitty blurry flv on you tube I can see that there were children in the front seat of the van and those chopper cams are fucking tack sharp with zoom you can pick a fucking zit with so who you trying to bullshit here?

Then shooting the rescuers who clearly were trying to rescue the living?

You justify a fucking massacre in the name of "they didnt follow the rules".  What the fuck is wrong with you?

Understand that out there, out in sector, you don't have the convenience that you do sitting at home.

the fuck you dont.

that bird pursued those people not the other way around.  Clearly they were just strolling around, even some crazed rambo fuckhead could see that.  There was no evidence of weapons or threat, and when you are in a copter you have all the convenience of watching it on tv from a safe distance so no need to spew horse shit all over my post.

Then your shoot to kill policy, what the fuck is up with that.  They were down and out of commission and those fuckers just plain murdered those people.  Do you fucking kids even know the difference.  The whole damn thing was misreported so they could waste them.

Thanks for the news on the eastern front heir commandant.

Kill em all, let God sort it out.

What media propaganda would that be?

That we launched a war because we knew Iraq had WMD's but somehow after seven years we haven't been able to find them?

HAND SALUTE! TWO!
Welcome home and *THANKYOU* FOR YOUR SERVICE TO OUR COUNTRY!
After Iraq is cleaned up how do you think the guys would like to go down to Texas, New Mexico, Arizona, and Calif along the border? They could sure use you guys down there!
And what do you do for "a little female company" (wink, wink) in Iraq?
