I think also in order to be a good switch you have to have the right trust too. In my previous relationship I was the D and I didnt like it. But in the relationship now I am not only D but S too and I love it because we have the same respect level. I wouldnt be with him if I didnt trust him being D and S. We both made collars for each other and when making them we thought about ourselves and what the other would want, you have to make that decision if your in control or not. so in other words you arent 50/50 but 100/100. you play both roles you must think both ways in order to do so. (some people may agree and some might not, but that is why its an oppion!)

I really think for me it's situational and has everything to do with who I am with at the time. One thing I will say is that I really do not like 'switching' my role - whichever it is - with the same partner. Once the dynamics have been addressed ie who ends up on top - that dynamic stays in place.

LuneRune I have to agree with you. For me it's totally about the person and the chemistry. But once it's established I think it'd be very hard to change it. It just seems to be an organic thing ; there's no preplanning or agenda. I don't tend to meet people as a 'domme', I don't like any sort of dynamic being presupposed. I like to keep an open mind and see where it goes from there.

Myself, I don't choose if I am a Domme or sub. Once I am Domme or sub, I normally switch on the person. I typically stay whatever I happen to end up with them. That isn't always the case though. I tend to be more sub than Domme.
