MissAssylum....You also have to remember that every time that someone says golly, gee whiz, gosh and so many other phrases they are saying the "God" word. It has been altered over time but all of these sayings/words are derived from the almighty's name being used in vain..

I'm totally on top of language as figurative, thanks. It's what I do.

Connotation carries more meaning than denotation. By the time we were four, we already understood complex relationships among words far surpassing any lexicon.

It's really rather reliably translatable as "Hello and welcome to the community, I accept you as a fellow member. Also, I would like to see your twat."

In relation to the op.

The phrase “God damn” holds little meaning to me; I am certain “God” does not take commands, nor, does he ‘damn’ things/people.

The words ‘damn’ and ‘fuck’ are similar in meaning, but not quite the same. To be damned implies that God has forgotten you; to be fucked implies you have forgotten yourself.

The phrase ‘fuck you’ is a reflection back on self, because the only way one can truly be forgotten, is to forget one’s self.

My thoughts; allow those who wish to be forgotten the liberty to do so; it is their choice and I wouldn’t want to delay them.

as for pilling on the contempt- i dunno- guess i'm just special lol. and i'm no stranger to dommiguy and his "fuck me now" disposition. i had chose to block him since in my opinion, he had nothing to offer to a thread that wasnt along those lines. i suppose i was wrong for thinking that this time he had something worthwhile to contribute- but it appears that i will go back to hiding his responses.
