Cheapest would be a jar of Vaseline. As far as actual lube goes, I use the "Wet" brand of lubes.

DaughterChrissy,
Vaseline is a petroleum product and it ISN'T something you want to use internally on a regular basis or in large amounts.
Here are some products you may consider?

Boy Butter

Shaft

I understand you don't want to spend to much money but spending a little extra might be safer in the long run and you'll be glad you spent it.

Well from the links you showed, one is a butt plug and one is a pounder. The pounder shouldn't be left in like a butt plug because it doesn't have a wide enough girth to stop it getting lost and believe me, those things can get lost.
It doesn't say what the pounder is made of but the butt plug is made from sensafirm. Sensafirm is very porous and not easy to keep clean, so use it with a condom if you want to prolong its life and keep it in a dark place when not in use. Neither condoms or sensafirm like silicone based lube, so don't use glide or you will wreck it in no time. The good news is, you should use water based lubes only and water based lubes are the cheapest. Look for a lube to go with condoms and you will be on the right track.

Here are a couple of Water Based Lubes you might consider and the price is fairly inexpensive.

http://www.shop.secrettoysupply.com/Wicked-Slick-Lubricant-8940-10-2.htm Wicked-Slick is a 7.4 oz bottle.

http://www.shop.secrettoysupply.com/Climax-Bursts-Lubricant-3141-9.htm Climax Bursts are 4 oz bottles

No such thing as silly questions, so feel free to contact me if you have any other questions?

what about those? I dont want to have to do alot of maintenance or be cautious of how i take care of them. Thank you all for the input, especially allthatjaz. Thank you :)
I want to get the right plugs, kind of gradually getting bigger, but not to spend a fortune. Let me know about those and what not :)
Id like to have one that I can wear when I go out.

The first link you showed was a good shape. I would highly recommend you go for that shape with a good stable and broad base. This is the most common shape of a butt plug and is popular for its comfort. Start with the smallest size and work upwards but don't be tempted to go too quickly.

Look carefully at what the product is made of. If it doesn't say then don't buy. This site will give you a good idea of what is safe and what isn't http://www.sexcoaching.com/SexToys1.php but don't be tempted by glass or metal at this stage, its far too harsh for a beginner. 100% silicone is the best purchase you can make. Its non absorbent, comfortable and long lasting but never use silicone lube with a silicone product.

Considering the nature of your questions I suspect that you're fairly new at this, as such I think you may be getting overly optomistic about what size will fit in there.

I wouldnt say im completely new...  lets say ive used some things, including my own fingers.
but as far as buying a toy, yes im new. :P lol.
Wow, allthatjaz, thank you for the great advice. Ill look into that site.
Little confused, is PVC good or not? if its good, the 2nd batch of links are all PVC (the colt says its non-porous).
still wondering what lube to get. Im kind of an indecisive person, so saying water-based, etc only makes it harder :P just need to figure out what lube would work with those i just listed.

Please be patient and thank you for all the help :) I really do appreciate it

Here is a list of what im going to get. these 3 for now: http://www.extremerestraints.com/glass-and-steel-dildos_39/the-artisan-glass-mini-dome-anal-plug_3671.html (cause its 5$ and be nice to have), http://www.extremerestraints.com/butt-plugs_1/the-trainer-tool-butt-plugs_2782.html (intermediate), http://www.extremerestraints.com/butt-plugs_1/the-triple-bubble-butt-plug_3449.html (small).
Then ill get this in the future once ive worked myself http://www.extremerestraints.com/butt-plugs_1/classic-butt-plugs_124.html (large).
i believe all are PVC, so whatever kind of lube works with pvc. Also, will i need to use a condom with pvc?
Guess you can say im new to safety and the caring for the toys :P

EDIT: just saw this http://www.extremerestraints.com/anal-trainer-kit-60-off_2054.html  thoughts? doesnt say what its made out of.. but cheap (which explains why, bad quality and probably not what im looking for?)

The shapes look fine but glass is really for the user that has been doing it for some time. Glass is none giving and even some hardened anal sluts have difficulty wearing glass butt plugs.
The other products are PVC and should be worn with a condom. PVC and jelly toys contain unsafe phthalates. Phthalates have been linked to cancer. Also PVC can not be sterilized.

I'm not sure why you are still having problems with picking the right lube. KY jelly from your local chemist will be fine.

How about J-Lube, there are alot of mention about using it on fisting forums as a lube of choice for anal play. You buy in a powder and mix it on your own so you can make your own consistancy. I just bought some for a little over $10 and the package is supposed to make up to 6-8gallons of lube. I will let you know how it is once I get to try it.

The glass one ill just have for fun :) and plus its only 5$ lol.
as far as material goes. if pvc is what you say it is... there arent many toys for me to be looking at, unless im mistaken. it seems all are PVC. so considering what im interested, what would be toys that are not pvc but cheap? (i think i remember reading that pvc is cheapest to produce.)
Oh, well if it was that simple KYjelly it is :P could get condoms while im at it.

If you are going to use PVC or jelly products a condom every time will make clean up and maintenance a lot easier, as will storing them wrapped in clean, lint free cloths.  If you plan to use K-Y and will be keeping your toys in for an extended period of time you may want a layer of lube between the toy and the condom in addition to the lube between you and the condom.  K-Y does dry out/get absorbed when in contact with skin/mucous membranes, and sometimes the plug needs to come out of the condom so the condom can come out without doing harm.

I've used a bar of soap, I rub the wet bar of soap in my hand then lube my toy with it & where ever I'm going to put it, except in my mouth or someone else's mouth.
