The point is, you're NOT a peer in the discussion.  If you don't have the personal experience in the matter, you're really not basing your comment on anything more than a hypothesis. 

Strap on play is one of those areas that people don't treat submissives of different genders the same.  Nobody needs to perpetuate nonsense.  Anal play should not be viewed as ok for male tops to engage in, but not female tops.  The comment regarding smell would have never been tolerated on the Master board and it shouldn't be tolerated here either.

I wasn't differentiating between genders. I have the same reaction with male tops as well. All apologies for not realizing that people took such offense to suggesting something that actively involved an anus might involve smell.

How safe they are depends on the dishwasher. My last dishwasher was very gentle and he took great care not to damage my dildos. I've had some dishwashers who hate washing dishes and I wouldn't trust them with my picnic plastic-ware
