ShaharThorne -> WTF is happening to me? (6/18/2010 11:50:36 AM)

Since the 4th, I have falling down.  No fainting.  My legs will give out and I find myself on the floor.

Today, it happen while I was getting off of the bus.  Almost hit my head on the sidewalk.

Had to get 4 guys to help me  up (I nearly pulled the driver on top of me...LOL)! I assured him that I am not filing a complaint against the company (since Bo works for the same company).

I am trying to set up an appointment for next week.  I also have trickles(?) of my hands, making handling the mouse weird (imagine a mouse doing different things at the same time).

I am feeling bruised and not in a good way.  Next time (if it happens) I want to land on my ass!

have you had a change in medications or missed any doses Shahar?  sometimes missing doses of anti-depressants can cause withdrawal symptoms which sound similar to what you describe.

Low blood sugar?  Are you eating regular meals...not skipping meals?

I would definitely be ringing your doctor and letting them know what has been happening and getting in asap

How soon after you stand up does the dizziness occur? I am thinking a sudden drop in your blood pressure (orthostatic hypotension) secondary to a position change. It can be medication related, or due to dehydration.

None that I can recall, Holly.  I keep trying to get hold of my doctor and Mom told me that the office is closed because he is in court as a witness.  She is concerned about it as well.  My meds are okay, so I am not worrying about them.

Lizard saw me have one and wants to know what is happening herself.  I waved her off and used the bunk bed to pull myself up.

That is why I want Lizard to come home with me...to make sure I am not falling and if necessary, yell out for help.

You keep falling, don't know the cause and your doctor (who is hours away anyway) is unavailable.

Go to the emergency room.
It is a much better option than falling, hitting your head on something and not waking up at all or doing some real damage to yourself.
I am pretty sure holly will back me up on this.

Shar...Angelika is right. I hit my head so hard that it caused a certain type of hemorrhage that is considered to be a stroke. I wasn't breathing when Jim found me. God forbid your daughter has to deal with what Jim did.
They are telling me to give my brain 6 months for the swelling to go down, but in the interim i have no short term memory, can't speak correctly, and am dizzy to the point i black out and fall. A week ago i broke two ribs and my jaw, and needed sutures to close a head wound.

A head injury is the gift that keeps on giving. Don't let it start. Please!!!

I would try and stop falling down.

I am a doctor.

We know where your scope is...

yep...he never loses sight of it [8|]

domiguy -> RE: WTF is happening to me? (6/18/2010 4:24:40 PM)

All I am suggesting is that it might be wise to stop falling.

Apart from that when my granny started to have episodes of falling down (twice she spent several hours on the floor until my mum found her due to her daily visit) it was discovered that she had cancer, so it ain't wise to just ignore it when your body screams for attention

And yes, Holly your short term memory sucks at the moment...but I am forgiving [&o]

ShaharThorne -> RE: WTF is happening to me? (6/18/2010 4:31:18 PM)

Hey...if I fall into a vat of chocolate, is that okay?

kiwisub12 -> RE: WTF is happening to me? (6/18/2010 5:21:21 PM)

Tingling in the hands and weak extremities suggest a neurological cause.  You need to have someone look at you.

and Holly, i am so sorry about your jaw. That has GOT to hurt!

purepleasure -> RE: WTF is happening to me? (6/18/2010 10:59:09 PM)

My mother's experience is similar to PA's granny. My mom died of cancer in 2007.

Please get thoroughly checked

BKSir -> RE: WTF is happening to me? (6/18/2010 11:04:03 PM)

I wish I knew what was happening to you.  But I don't.  Nor do I like the sound of it.  Please do get checked out as soon as you possibly can.  It's very worrisome. *HUG*

laurell3 -> RE: WTF is happening to me? (6/19/2010 1:37:24 AM)

I had an allergic reaction to antibiotics once and started losing motor control. I was fortunate I didn't put it off and went and saw my doctor immediately, apparently the symptoms I was having ended up being fatal quite often. I would really not put it off if you can avoid it.

Loss of motor control can be due to tons of things, some of them really serious, some of them simple. Get thee to a physician!

ShaharThorne -> RE: WTF is happening to me? (6/19/2010 4:05:57 AM)

Thats great Shar...but may i suggest you really pay attention to how you are feeling and what happens prior to your dizzy spells...then write it down (do not depend on your memory).

ShaharThorne -> RE: WTF is happening to me? (6/19/2010 4:48:33 AM)

Sounds like a good idea.

Missokyst -> RE: WTF is happening to me? (6/19/2010 2:50:38 PM)
