Funny story...the AC man came to fix the air conditioning yesterday. I got dressed (ug!) and let him in. He's working and evaluating the problem next to my bed under the vent when suddenly I notice I had left the medical restaints (attached to the bed) out! I normally just tuck them under the mattress for vanilla people. I saw him see them. He just just looked away and kept working, just after noticing how they attach under the rails for hands and feet. Should have been embarrassed, but I didn't give a shit, really. I know the guy somewhat. He's seen worse as an apartment maintenance man. Ever left the wrong thing out and the wrong people saw it? Let's hear the stories.

I had a couple of bdsm books tucked in between my mattress and box spring. I was downstairs while they were packing up the furniture in my bedroom and all of a sudden, it struck me. I ran up there to try and find a way to grab them while they we working, but alas, I was too late. They were already sitting on my nightstand, and the matresses were already upright against the wall. Happens a few times- people have to come in to change the air filters, check the fire extinguisher. I'd worry if I left the good stuff out in case someone would take it, but it's my home, they are getting paid to do me a service. I don't move the pictures, books, dvds when family visits either.

In NYC with my previous Master, our apartment was robbed - NY's Finest came in and looked all through the apartment, including the upstairs "dungeon room" and all the toys. No one batted an eyelash. Really, i practiced Real Estate in Austin for several years (waves at LA!) - after seeing what other people leave out in their houses - especially houses that are up for sale and supposedly in "show condition" - i decided that i'm not that far along the curve of "viewable kink in the home." Some of the most conservative people you ever know have some of the kinkiest houses out there. Just sayin'......most "in-home service professionals" really don't care as long as you're not inviting them to join in.

Had the Toy bag out and was organizing it when the Cable Guy came. Only DVD we had available when the Cable guy was there was a Bondage Porn. On the TV stand were some 30 titles of Porn. ______ Land Lord came over while I was Mounting the O-Rings and Hooks to my wall Just said that when I move she had better not be able to tell they were there or I'll lose my deposit. I wrote a thread last year when we were getting ready to move across the country. No matter how many things you think are out of sight, something turns up. Same movers all asked exactly what the spanking bench was for. Daughter and Granddaughter arrived home early while I was in the process of organizing My toy bag. I know there's more. I'm one of the worst when it comes to leaving stuff out.

Two: I was being moved by my company, so I had no choice in the movers. For example: they said they would move liquids except alcohol because of their fundamentalist beliefs, so my friends got my booze. When they dismantled my bed, a 'scorpion' [particularly evil looking vibrating and nubbly strapon] in its harness was under the bed. Nobody said nuthin; I think it was good for them. My FAVOURITE: My place was burgled [the building had a master key which had been stolen, and an entire floor was cleaned out in a single day]. Since it was suggestive of an inside job, they sent a detective: I stayed in the kitchen while he fingerprinted in the bedroom. He was very, very manly, well-spoken, polite and no wedding ring [just the way I likes 'em]; in a couple of days when I had started to recover from the loss, distress and mess, I sent him a letter at work asking him out. I got a dozen roses and a 'yes' the next day. After some great vanilla dates, we were in bed and I asked him about his favourite fantasy, he said, 'Anything in that drawer.' He confessed he considered taking a particular ass toy 'down to headquarters for further examination' and that I'd have to come in and see him again to identify it. So, instead of weeks and months to bring up the subject, we could fast-forward to some virgin ass-fucking. So there ya go: you never know where the silver lining will show up: from burglary to ass-burglary.

My dad and I were cleaning my room and a dildo I didn't know was out, was well out. I just grabbed it quickly and put it away. I don't know if he saw or not, but he didn't say anything. And another couple of occasions my nieces found sex toys and porn, with the porn the box wasn't to explicit thankfully, and they said ewww booobies, and I said give me that please, with the flogger, they asked what it was for and I said hitting things, and they left it at that. When someone walks into my small apartment, the bedroom door is straight ahead barely to the left. It was left open and my sister notices the ropes w/ cuffs attached peeking out from under all four corners of my bed. Wow. Oh wow. She had a conniption fit. Oh well, she lived through it. i had washed all my ropes in the wee hours in the laundromat, when it was sure to be empty. Guess what.....it wasn't! The most uptight older lady in the entire building walks in and asks what all the rope is for. i said something stupid....."i collect rope." lol i'd started to organize my toy bag and it was all strewn out on my bed when my friend showed up to visit for a couple days. i forgot it was all out on the bed and said "the extra blankets are in my closet," so there are all my toys, bigger than life right in front of her. What could i say but tell her the truth? So i did. She ranted and raved (she had NO clue), but got over it. ~sweetsub~

~Fast Reply~ Oh yeah. I usually remember to hide the toys but sometimes I forget the small stuff - like kinky pictures I've got up or adult board games or something like that. I don't mind so much if they see but don't comment. It's when they give me that "knowing" smile that I get uncomfortable. I then try to pass things off as old drinking game stuff, gag gifts, art pieces... whatever comes to mind.

My stuff is always out. I have the same feeling about it, it's my home, so what? I will, as a concession to my husband, put stuff away when his family is coming to visit. However, last time after his sister and brother-in-law left I noticed my handcuffs were still hanging from the key rack by the front door. Oops.

I've never left the wrong items out, and I don't have a lot of people coming into my apartment. But my (adult) daughter saw some bite mark bruises on my chest earlier this year when she was visiting. She didn't say anything about it for several months.[;)]

The movers from my most recent move had to transport the St Andrew's cross. It became "the two pieces of wood with hooks." I was really hoping one of them would make a comment so that I could offer to show him how it worked. :D

Once, when i was new to my Dominant, we were still long distance.. i had a conference out of town, and He knew i would be alone in my hotel room, no um's to worry about, and He had me bring my toys along, 2 vibes. After a long and exhausting eve, i feel asleep. In the morning, I got up, got ready, went to my day of sessions... i got back to my room, and there on the chair next to my bed was my 2 toys, sheets changed, bed made. I had left them in my bed i guess..lol I left a larger tip than usual..:)
